Clean and Simple Lillies for Paper Payers #442

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week – and it's CAS week and Laurie has chosen a great theme for us:

I played around with a couple of sets, but in the end decided to go with florals.  I chose a digital image (trying to remember where I got it!). I printed the image out onto X-Press IT paper and colored it using my Copic Markers, finishing up with a little pencil.

I stamped the sentiment from Altenew's Label Love onto a piece of Neenah Solar White and added a little gold shimmer as an accent.
Here's my card:

I really do need to go find out where this image comes from.  It feels like a Power Poppy image, but I couldn't find it on their website.

I hope you will join us and play along this week.  As usual, the players have some fabulous inspiration for you:

On a personal note:

Mmmm…. the temps are in the late 40s.  It's raining.  the wind is blowing a cold northerly wind.  Did I miss spring and summer this year?  At least the leaves have come in on the trees and we can see the first stirrings of green coming up from the ground.  But it really needs some warmth and some sunshine to get them kicked into high gear.

We are waiting for a few rain free days so that we can paint the floor of the screened in porch and then get everything set up for spring/summer – when they finally arrive.  I really can't wait to sit out there again.

This week saw another fabulous sunset.  this time the colors were lavender and purple and pink and blue and orange.

I was sitting on the front porch and was visited by one of my favorite little woodpeckers – the Hairy.  He wasn't in the least bit perturbed by my presence:

I hope you have a fabulous Sunday.  I'll be back later in the week.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

  1. Jaydee, your coloring on this image is perfection, my friend! My jaw dropped as soon as I saw it. Of course, that bitty pop of sparkle is a perfect touch, as well. Your sunset picture really makes me remember when we lived up in your area. Those pink sunsets are such a gorgeous site, indeed.

  2. Gorgeous image, and gorgeously colored! I love those Altenew sentiments too…just the right amount of bold for your delicate design!

  3. Jaydee, your coloring is amazing! I want to color with you! You make these flowers look REAL! I love the pop of gold with your sentiment! Such a lovely card! I hope the sun is shining on you today, My Friend! XX

  4. Such a beautiful card, Jaydee! Your coloring is perfect. I love the touch of sparkle below the sentiment. It’s the perfect accent.
