Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Joanne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great Clean and Simple theme for us
I wasn't sure what to do with this…. but then went looking through my old stamp sets and found a perfect set from Papertrey Ink called Star Gazer. It fit beautifully with a piece of paper from the My Minds Eye paper pack called Hey, Mister! It was the perfect backdrop to my focal element.
Here's my card:
This was such an easy card to put together. I cut a piece of the paper to cover my base and then die-cut a rectangle and stamped my focal elements onto it. I mounted it on fun foam and placed it on my card base. The finishing touch was a blingy red star!

On a personal note:
Oh… it got to the 40s for the last couple of days. JOY!!!!! I know it won't last… but it was wonderful to experience it after the run of -20+ temps!
Even Charlie has been cold and looked to this wonderfully, warm, snuggly throw from Pottery Barn to help him keep warm on the back of the couch
Even the dove's have caught on to how to keep warm. This is the heated bird bath. they are not here for the water… they are here because the rim – and the stones – in the bath are warm! Next time you are tempted to call someone birdbrain….. remember it might very well be a compliment:-)
The doves are going to need to keep warm…. we are under a Winter Storm Watch with anything rom 6-12 inches of snow tomorrow……

That paper is fabulous and the dark grey of it really lets the centre panel shine. What I think is great, and I’ve not seen before, is that stitched barrel shape you have used for the centre: it’s super. That perfectly placed red star is just the perfect finishing touch!
Oh look at Charlie all cozied up, how adorable! I don’t think Ollie would let me cover him with a blanket, but then it hasn’t bee -20F here. Even your birds are spoiled with a heated bird bath! I love the celestial theme of your CAS card Jaydee, and such a wonderful sentiment. Sending hugs 🙂
Your paper and stamps really are the perfect match Jaydee – what a lovely love note sentiment too and the pop of red from the star is the perfect finishing touch. I think I need to be under the blanket with Charlie – it’s freezing here this week too! As for your birdies – well and truly spoiled, they are lucky to have you!

Isn’t it the best when you find the perfect background paper in your stash to match a stamp! This celestial theme is fabulous! The sentiment is perfect and I love the shiny red star! How fun! What a fun card and perfect DP to compliment the focal point…don’t you love it when that happens! I’ve never heard of a heated bird bath but what a wonderful idea! They look like they’re having fun in their “hot tub!”
Fabulous. The patterned paper pulled me right in to say wow! The Stargazer set is a perfect compliment. BTW…my dad has doves as well and has been so worried about them in the cold cold weather up north.
