Autumn Greetings for Paper Players #362

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a very timely challenge for us:

I love the badge that Nance created and the neutral colored pumpkins are gorgeous with the other neutral elements.  However, I decided to go for a standard pumpkin color for my card.    I did try to emulate the feel of the wood and the leaves as well.  It was a great excuse to open up my newly arrived Hero Arts card kit.

I began by stamping the elements of the pumpkin and then added a little glimmer pen to it.  Here's a closeup:

You can see that I used some of the Altenew woodgrain paper again.  I really do love it :-)  In fact, I used even more of it – but a different color – for the base of the card.

Here's my card:

I love the texture from the woodgrain paper and the bright pop of orange and green from the leaves.   The sentiment is also from the new Hero Arts card kit and I was surprised that it stamped as well as it did onto the woodgrain paper.

I hope you will join us and play along this week.  As always if you are looking for some inspiration, you should check out the fabulous design from our very talented design team:

On a personal note:

Well, it seems (we hope) that Charlie is on the mend.  He's really had a very tough time of things this last month and has been the cause of many sleepless nights, trips to and from the vet and a healthy investment in vet payments but, as I type this blog post, he is running around being an absolute idiot….. this is the first day that he has done that in over a month and it is wonderful to see.    So, thank you to all of you who sent positive thoughts and messages his way.  he appreciates it – as do I!

Hopefully, I will get some time in my craft room today as I really need to spend some time just indulging myself in a little me time.  Hopefully, Charlie will do his usual and join me down there and keep me company.

I also hope to get out into the garden to take some photographs of the last of the late summer flowers.  There is a profusion of color in the front garden and the last of the birds and bugs are loving them.

I am also finalizing the blog candy and some fun ways of earning it and will be sharing that with you tomorrow night – along with one of the cards I hope to get to make today.  Now that Charlie is on the mend and doesn't need so much caring, I can do the blog candy!

In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
