Happy Thursday.
I have a card for you using the super cute Say Cheese Classic Mouse and Steamboat Willie collection from Spellbinders and Simple Stories. I fell in love with these as soon as I saw them and knew that I had to accidentally drop them into my virtual basket :-). I saw this great sketch across at Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge and knew that this set, along with some paper from Scrapbook.com would be perfect for the challenge.

Oh, I had such fun playing with these elements to create this card. I began by die-cutting the mouse pieces and the sentiment circle. The circle and sentiment is from the Classic Mouse Say Cheese die set. I then assembled the head and arm of my Mickey from the Steamboat Willie dies. I love these dies as they come with multiple parts to make both a classic Minnie and Mickey.

I choose the color of the circle based on the paper from the scrabook.com Enchanted pattern collection. I die-cut the paper with some old MFT vertical stitched rectangle dies and adhered them together to replicate the sketch. I wanted to add a little something to the base of the card and my chevron stencil was still on my desk from an earlier project, so decided that would be ideal. I choose the matching color of ink and did a light blending on the card base with the stencil.
All that was left to do was to add all of the elements. I popped up the sentiment circle and the Mickey head and added an additional sentiment from a die-cut set from Waffle Flower.

Let's talk about that paper – I think it's adorable! Even better because it was a freebie with a scrapbook.com order a little while ago – even before I got the Spellbinders dies! I also love that this card is good for any age – I mean, even I love Disney and I am a long way from my childhood:-)

OH MY GOSH. I am in love with this card. That vintage Mickey image evokes such fun memories…not like the modern version, which has no personality at all. LOVE the colors, love papers and I love the sentiments. ALL of them go together for one fabulous card! SO happy you shared this with us at Atlantic Hearts!
