Dancin’ & Gifting Mouse for Addicted to CAS #293

Happy Saturday.

It’s the talented Toni’s turn to host our Addicted to CAS challenge this week and she has a fun code word for us. It inspired me to bring out my old Dancin’ & Gifting Mouse dies from Spellbinders. I paired it with some very old DSP. Here’s a sneak peek:

I began by die-cutting the body parts for my mouse with Fog cardstock and then used my inks and Copics to color the individual pieces. I then die-cut a group of balloons from an old Simon Says Stamp set and colored those with my Copics.

I then die-cut the pieces for his outfit, including this really fun sweater he’s wearing! I needed something to ground him, so I used a old snowfall stencil from Simon Says Stamp to add some polka dots to the card base. I adhered all the elements and added the sentiment.

I must admit, these colors are some of my favorites…. I just love the blue tones, especially the cool blues and I thought they worked really well with that fabulous feather DSP that I have been hoarding for years!
