Altenew Chocolate Flowers for Addicted to CAS #296

Happy Saturday.

It’s the fabulous Melanie’s turn to host our Addicted to CAS Challenge this week and she has a sweet code word for us!  It inspired me to bring out my Altenew Chocolate Flowers die.  I just love the texture and realistic nature of this die.

Here’s a sneak peek:

I paired the rich chocolate bar made from SU Early Espresso with some heavy weight vanilla cardstock.  I mean, the two things just go together, right?!

Here’s Melanie’s code word for our challenge:

I cut a layer of vanilla and placed it on an angle and then angled the chocolate layer on top.  Both of them are backed with spare cardstock.  I stopped using foam long ago as I found it just didn’t stand the test of time going through the post, and I found that cardstock was more stable.

I added a sentiment from an old MFT stamp set and the card was complete.   Here’s my full card:
