It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great sketch for us:
This sketch is perfect for using up DSP and I know that I don't use enough of all of that DSP that I have in my stock. So, I looked through the Simon Says Stamp September card kit and it has some bright and cheerful DSP that works really well with the Birthday Bits stamp set.
I began by stamping the balloons onto x-press it DSP and then colored them using Copic markers. I really wanted to try to pick up the main colors from the DSP. Once the balloons were colored, I added a touch of sparkle with some Wink of Stella and then used my Glossy Accents to cover the balloons and make glossy!

Of course, I had to finish off the balloons with some twine. I like the touch of black for the twine – and the interactive nature of it :-)

On a personal note:
Well, over 500 cards have already been sent off to Cards for Hospitalized Kids and Card Care Connection. The cards that my amazing blogging friends sent were fabulous. I love doing the card drives because we get such a wide variety of styles and that is a wonderful thing. I was so proud to package up the cards and send them off to their final distribution points.
I got some time to spend in my craft room yesterday and created some more cards that will be sent off in the final box to the charities. I'm hoping to spend a little time in there again today, before I go off and do some housework. mmmm…. which would I rather do… housework or craft? mmmm… 🙂
I'll be back tomorrow with another card for you, in the meantime warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift.

Jaydee what a great take on the sketch. I love the colors, the cool patterned paper, and I bet the balloons are even more gorgeous in real life. I’ve hardly done anything with this kit so I thank you for the inspiration!

Oh Jaydee! I could not wait to comment on this card because I LOVE it SO MUCH! That DSP is so beautiful – love the colors and design and that you did the stitch die cut around each piece. Then the amazing job you did matching the balloons and making them POP off the page – and that darling little glossy heart too! The sentiment! Wowza! I love that script! Where is that stamp from? The black string on the balloon. I am totally gaga over this card! One of my all time favorites and couldn’t wait to tell you! 🙂
