Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great sketch for us:
As we were away when my August Simon Says Stamp card kit arrived, I decided it was a great time to open it up and check it out. I saw a piece of the DSP that came with the kit that said "Dream Big" and realized that it would be perfect for the challenge.
I cut out a piece of the DSP, ensuring that the "Dream Big" was kept in tact and designed the rest of the card around those colors. I mixed the DSP with some SU Mint Macron card stock and DSP. I then punched out an Itty Bitty butterfly from the SSS DSP and topped it with a piece of polka dot embossed vellum. To create the body and the antenna of the butterfly, I used some silver thread wrapped around the butterfly.
Here's my card:
I added a touch of Watermelon Wonder at the bottom of the Mint Macron script DSP as it matched some of the colors in the SSS Dream Big Dsp.
I hope that you will join us this week and play along. The design team have created some fabulous cards as inspiration for you.

Stunning card, Jaydee. That focal panel is perfect and I love how well it works with Mint Macaron. I have hardly touched this kit at all so I thank you for the inspiration. You’d be shocked how long it takes me to make a card, too. Too many options, perhaps! Have an awesome day 🙂
jaydee, I believe those creative juices were flying when you created this gorgeous card. The sentiment is perfect and I love the mix of patterns! The butterfly is ready to take flight and the silver thread is a fabulous addition! Thank you for rocking my sketch challenge this week! Have a wonderful week, My Friend! Enjoy the beauty of the season! Can’t wait to see pictures of your beautiful home in the Fall! XXX
This paper and these colors certainly are dreamy! Love how the SU colors coordinate so well with the dp. It doesn’t look like the mojo is lacking to me! Great card, Jaydee!
What a lovely card Jaydee and a great way to showcase that fabulous dsp! I love the way you used the pastel tones for the background layers – it really makes the sentiment stand out – and that little strip of Watermelon Wonder adds a real ‘pop’. I hope you continue to rediscover your creative mojo this week – it happens to the best of us!
I love this! What fun fonts they used on this DSP, no wonder you couldn’t wait to use it! And I am lovin’ the colors…aaaah! Your mojo looks fine to me, but I totally understand. Thank you for the classical station idea…I am listening to it right now. Sometimes, I just want to hear beautiful strains, no words!!! Have a lovely week, my friend!
I see no lack of mojo here, this is terrific!!
This card is stunning and so unique Jaydee! I LOVE IT! I love that you took a sentiment from a piece of DSP and worked around it! The colors are so “dream”y and the butterfly is such a perfect accent! GORGEOUS!
Great card Jaydee! I love the DP you chose, and that lil butterfly sure is cute!!!
Such a beautiful card and I love that sentiment!
