Well, I had promised you an Ornamental Pine card today… cos I know you are all suffering withdrawal symptoms from not seeing one fora while. However, I changed my mind when I saw the challenge across at Merry Mondays.
It's the fabulous Kathy's turn to host the challenge and she has a fabulous Bingo challenge for us.
I went vertically on the first column. Red, die cut and sparkle. I mean, have you ever known me run away from a sparkle challenge 🙂
I used an old parcel die, I think it's from Papertrey ink? I paired it with some SU shimmer and gold specialty paper and the new stars embossing folder from the SU Holiday mini catalog. Of course, I had to bring out my Lil Inker stitched dies 🙂
Here's my card:
I love that pop of red with the slick gold and think the textures work really well together. I also love the stars on the embossed background. The vanilla card stock makes me think of strawberries and cream 🙂

On a personal note:
I'm so happy to report that I have received 4 boxes of cards so far for our Cards for a Cause 2014 card drive. Many, many, thanks to Colleen B, Colleen T, Gill and Brenda. Their cards are fabulous and I can't wait to share some of them with you. I know I have said it before, but I will say it again… I really do have some of the most amazing blog followers. For the nature lovers amongst you, I have a couple of photos to share with you tonight.
I caught sight of this guy slithering his way around our screened in porch. This afternoon he was sunning himself on the driveway 🙂 He's pretty big…. well, actually very long – he's over 3 feet. So he's been around a while, and I can't tell you how happy we are that he has decided to call our little piece of suburban paradise home.
I'll be back tomorrow – this time REALLY with an Ornamental Pine card 🙂 In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

So I have been missing out the card drive. How can that be? Good to know that I still have some more time. I will try to get it to you by the deadline. I sure hope I can find the inspiration and time but I know this is good cause and so I will make the effort to support it.
