I have a quick card for you tonight. Whilst I was on vacation, I got to play along with some challenges and also discover some new ones. This challenge is one of the new challenges I found and it was a super cool challenge. It was made even more fun by the fact that I got to CASE one of my fellow, very talented, design team members at ATCAS.

Now, I had fun looking through Sandie's older cards, but this particular card really attracted my attention:
Well, let's start by talking about the elements that I used for my card:
- the idea of brightening my day
- The layout
- The colors – yellow, pink, blue and black
I managed to combine two different sets – one from Technique Tuesday (where all of the elements came from) and Simon Says Stamp's new "watt's up" set was used for the sentiment.
Here's my take on Sandie's fabulous card:
I know you can't see it, but the light bulb and the first two lamps have gel roller on some of the areas to make give them a little glimmer and shine. For the fourth lamp, I decided to use som SU red glimmer paper with the Itty Bitty Heart punch to cover up the white heart that was on the lamp underneath. I added a line of yellow above and below the lamps not only the ground them, but to replicate the scoring that Sandie used on her card.

On a personal note:
Well, I survived my first day back at the office. We got off to a very early start as Lou had to get up at 3.30 am to catch a flight. That means that I have lots of running around to do tonight, so this will be a quick post :-) I can honestly say though, that the last 10 days have been great. Today was a sad day as many of my colleagues who were affected by the recent resource action had their final day today……
The weather was gorgeous yesterday, but I just checked the weather report and we are expecting a couple more rounds of snow this week – with some rain and ice thrown it. Winter certainly isn't giving up its grip just yet :-) Colleen, envious of your sunburn 🙂
Thanks to all of you who voted on the Paper Players card this week – I think you are all right, the dots really do add that little something. So, thank you to all of you!

This is a cool stamp set and I love how you made each lamp special I’m its own way. The yellow limes instead of the scoring was a good idea especially as they are different sizes. Thanks for your sweet words and joining us at Ink
I agree with Sandie; that is a very cool stamp set.
When I first spotted your lovely card Jaydee, the song by Debbie Boone; ‘You Light Up My Life’ came to mind.
Your sentiment fits the card to a T.
Oh, Jaydee, you may be envious of my sunburn but I don’t think you would like the stiff, sore muscles that go along with. Face it; I ache all over but will be back at it again today.
I have a short hair cut (Jamie Lee Curtis cut) so my neck and ears always get alittle pink right off the bat.
Noticed yesterday that I have some irises blooming;(the early bloomers)

Jaydee, I just love your case! The brightly colored lamps are so fun and whimsical. The font of your sentiment really catches my eye.
Yesterday’s card was lovely. I liked the addition of the candy dots. The dsp reminds me of the pretty mosaic tiles we are looking at for our backsplash in the kitchen. That is why I’ve been absent lately, remodel almost complete, yay! Painting is next but I must decide on the color. It was nice to go back and read that grey tones are so hot right now. Your craft room is delightful and I love your pop of lime green and blue. Your windows would distract me however and I don’t think I would be very creative unless it was dark outside. ; ) I did notice Charlie leaning into the camera to make sure he was seen on his tower. Love that!

Thursday Evening:
We’re under tornado watches till 9pm. Some places have already had baseball size hail but as of right now we just have thunder but storm moving in closer which just be in our area around 7pm.
If you don’t hear from me I blew off to Kansas; without the red slippers.
Hot and humid today and really need to turn on the AC but I try to afford that unless I absolutely have to even tho it is over 80 deg.
Just go latest repot; tornado Warnings in northern part of Texas(north of Dallas/Fort Worth. I’m way south of that area but got storms moving up from the south heading our direction.
