Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday.
Tonight's card is the second card I made for the casethissketch challenge this week – and it is very different to last night's card! This one screams spring. Very appropriate considering it got to 40 degrees today! yep. 40 degrees. In fact, I heard something I hadn't heard in month's today… the sound of melting snow! It's short-lived, however, as we are expecting another 4-7 inches of snow on Thursday!
As a reminder, here's the sketch from casethissketch
I pulled out a new SSS leaves stencil and masked off an area, as I wanted the leaves only in the upper part of the card. I used Pear Pizzazz for the leaves – still one of my favorite all time greens! I then stamped three flowers from the PTI Embroidered Flowers set and fussy cut them. I added a little glitter with a gel pen and then, to add some interest to the middle, used some black Enamel Accents. I love the gleaming black middles :-) All that was left to do was to adhere them to the leaves using dimensionals and add the sentiment from the SU Happy Day stamp set.
Here's my card:
You'll notice that I went much lighter on the edge of the leaves than at the bottom closer to the stem. I like the added interest that gives. The Crisp Cantaloupe flowers look so pretty against the leaves. Crisp Cantaloupe is becoming one of my favorite spring/summer colors 🙂
On a personal note:
It's really late here and I need to go feed the pussycats. I also need to finish off a few things at work, so this will be a short post. I will be back tomorrow with a new card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight. Stay safe.
Hugs
Jaydee

Gorgeous! Love the softness of the inked leaves and I’m a big fan of Pear Pizzazz too! Thanks for playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch this week!
Beautiful card Jaydee. Love the colors … and your sponging is perfect. Loll xx
Oh, this looks fabulous! I love how you used the stencil for the leaves — wonderful card & take on the sketch!
This is so pretty! I love how you had the leaves “fade off” and I agree – crisp cantaloupe is lovely!
