Hi everyone. Happy Tuesday.
I have another quick post for you tonight with a card that I made for the casethissketch challenge
It's a great sketch and knew that I wanted to use the "hello" sentiment from Four You. It really is one of my favorite SU sentiments – just in case you hadn't realized that by now :-) I like the size of the sentiment. I like the font. I wish there were others with this same clean font style!
Now, "hello, flower" might not be a term with which you are familiar. But where I grew up, "flower" is a term of endearment much like "lovey" or "ducky" or "dearie". So, I thought pairing this sentiment with a floral motif was a good match 🙂
I used the Embroidered Blooms set from PTI which I colored with Raspberry Ripple, Lucky Limeade and Crushed Curry.
For the vertical element, I ran a piece of Raspberry Ripple card stock through my Big Shot with the new SU Arrow embossing folder.
Here's my card:
If you haven't seen the new Occasions catalog – and the free goodies you can get from SU during Sale A Bration, don't forget to get hold of your demo and ask for details.
Talking about free goodies….. some of you may remember that I offered up some blog candy in this post.
Then, I announced the blog candy winner in this post. Well, the wonderful winner, Colleen, sent me an email and asked that I please redistribute the love as she had already been a blog candy winner on my site before. Isn't that awesome? I really do have the most amazing blog family! So, courtesy of Colleen, I put the number of correct answers into a random number generator in the order in which they appeared on my blog. the number generated a new winner
Missy..… Congratulations, you are the winner of the SU grab bag. Please send me an email with your physical address and courtesy of moi – and, of course, Colleen….. I will be putting your grab bag in the mail
I'm off back to work, but will be back on Thursday with another post. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Congratulations Missy
Jaydee, your CAS card is stunning. The embossed background and the beautiful display of your stamped image. Gorgeous.
Have a great week and stay warm as I hear it’s pretty cold up your way; especially with the wind chill.
Congrats, Missy! Colleen, you’re a class act! :o)
I love the color combo, Jaydee. It took awhile, but Raspberry Ripple really grew on me. It’s so rich and decadent.
We finally have SNOW! Okay, it’s not much, just a dusting, really. And, we had temps in the mid-60’s yesterday, so even though the cold winds have swooped in, the roads are still clear. Funny then that they’ve closed schools for tomorrow. ;oP But, hey, it’s SNOW!!! :o)
Hugs!
P.S. Hiya Lou! :o)
Well, Rach, it turned out to be more than a dusting. LOL We now have beautiful snow in Hampton, VA but of course nothing like yours Jaydee. Love your card, the colors and the SU arrows folder you used.
I too love the hello stamp in the Four You set – your card is beautiful – thanks for the inspiration!
Fabulous! Love the deep rad card base and embossed strip. Thanks for playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch this week!
Lovely card! Wonderful take on the sketch!
You have such an affective way of putting things together with the color scheme and the sentiment. Looking at the card while reading your explanation just made perfect sense. Love it.
