Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday night.
It's my turn to host the challenge across at the Paper Players this week and I chose a cool color theme – all blue and white.

When I originally chose the colors for the challenge – many weeks ago – I had in my mind that I would make a Christmas card. However, a fun little set arrived in my UPS box this week and I decided it was time to ink it up and show you what a fun set this is!
Monstermaniacs was designed by Doris D and the images were voted by the public to become a stamp set from SU. I LOVE it. I'd be really happy if they made it into an MDS set, too, so that I could make the images bigger. I can see all sorts of cards being made with this set for the next OWH drive.
Of course, I had to pull out an old Halloween set and use some of the googlie eyes instead of the stamped eyes. This card makes me smile! I'm dying to try it in some strong primary colors!
Wondering how I got the speech bubble and what the stamped sentiment is from? Well, that's from one of the original photopolymer sets that SU introduced called Designer Typeset. I thought it was perfect with this image. I mounted the focal image on a layer of Midnight Muse that I had run through my Big Shot using the hexagon embossing folder and I mounted the image on Stampin' Dimensionals. I know you can't see it, but I used a Wink of Stella glitter pen all over the body and tongue of the monster to give him a little shimmer and shake.
The design team have some fabulous cards again for your inspiration this week. They'd love it if you would pop along to their blogs and check them out!
Of course, we would love it if you would play along with us this week. We'd really love to see what you do with this color scheme.
On a personal note:
It's cold and wet. I think summer has definitely left and fall is decidedly here! I couldn't take a photo of my card out on the deck as I normally do as it was too wet. So, I had to go onto the front porch and prop the card up against a pumpkin on the straw bale. It was cold and windy, but at least there was sufficient light to take the photo- and it was dry!
It has been a very long week this week at work and I must admit to wanting to curl up in my bed this morning and have a lie in. Sadly, Saturday morning's are too busy, so Lou and I went for breakfast at Starbucks before heading out to do some shopping. Linda, thank you for the pat on the back. I really appreciated it and it made my day!
I have managed to do some sorting out today in my craft room in prep for the move upstairs. I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, but I did make a good start and already have a collection of things that I will be offering up for sale. Generally I donate all my stamping stuff when I do a clean out, but this time I decided to try selling some of it so that I can buy more supplies for the next OWH card drive. I have lots of stamps, storage and nestabilities, plus a few other things. I'm hoping to take a few days off work in the next couple of weeks so that I can finish cleaning up my room and getting everything organized ready for the move. I'll also take photos of all the goodies and load them on my blog.
As always, thank you for your visit and your comments. They are always much appreciated. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

This is adorable, Jaydee! Love that little monster and I can’t wait to see what else you do with this stamp set!
Cute card! I reaaly like Midnight Muse! And Night of Navy. Is Doris D. the same Doris who comments on your blog? It’s really neat the SU does that!
Have a wonderful day!

This is SO adorable! What a cutie monster and I love the googly eyes and speech bubble. How fun!
Saturdays ARE busy, aren’t they?
I spent quite a bit of time this summer cleaning out my stamping supplies. I just have SO much. I LOVE so much but find it’s not necessarily for me, you know? It just doesn’t necessarily seem to fit my style. Which is on the one hand frustrating because I WANT it to, and on the other hand, freeing because now I know what MY style is.
Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou! :o)
LOL, what a cute little monster! Fun way to use these colors–which I love, BTW!
How cute is this, Jaydee! The googly eyes are awesome! Definitely a card which will bring a smile to one’s face!
What a cute card – I will have to try that color combo. I would have not put those colors together, but now I think I just might like it!
Have fun organizing and cleaning and moving to your new stampin space.
Breakfast at Starbucks sounds very inviting and a good reason to get up on a fall morning! I would go for the Chai Tea Latte!
Eek, so cute! Love the googlie eyes and the fun use of these challenge colors!
