Hi Everyone. Happy Monday.
Well, it was a shock to be back at work this morning :-) But, I got the chance to photograph more of the OWH cards this evening before I lost the light, so it was a great way to end the day.
I have a quick post for you tonight and wanted to share a teaser card from Gill and Pamela. Before I get on to their cards though, I wanted to give a shout out to Colleen. She prefered that I did not photograph and showcase her cards, and I am absolutely fine with that. :-) I can tell you though that her cards were beautiful and I know that the troops and their families will appreciate them even more than I did. Colleen, thank you for taking the time to make the cards. They were fabulous!
Now…. you might be asking why I've showcased the teaser cards in this order? Well, it's pretty simple really. You are seeing them in the order in which they were photographed!
Let's start with Pamela. I'm not going to tell you – just yet – how many cards Pamela donated. I'll just say it was a LOT!
It was tough to pull out a specific teaser card for you – but here is the one I chose to highlight.
It is such an unexpected color choice for a Christmas card, but I loved it. There is such a peaceful and serene feel to this card – perfect to highlight the sentiment. The little pop of color on the focal image was just perfect and I had such a huge smile on my face when I looked at this card. I also adored the fact that the background stamp talked of love and tranquility, kinship and harmony. Perfect for the sentiment and the subject. This card is whimsical, but conveys a seriousness of message that isn't lost. I absolutely loved this card and knew that it was the one I wanted to showcase as Pamela's teaser.
Now, let's get to Gill's cards. Gill had some fabulous love cards and I decided to showcase one for you tonight.
I loved the softness of this color scheme with the little pop of red. Gill managed to capture so many different textures on this card; the texture on the kraft layer; the texture on the embossed heart and the texture behind the second, vellum heart. It's a card that is neither masculine nor feminine and, therefore, perfect for either gender! You know I have to love the fact that there are 5 hearts on the card. Elements repeated in an odd number always feel right. The simple "love you" is perfect and the card needed nothing else. CAS fabulousness!
It's really late here, so I am going to go off and get some sleep. I'll try to get back tomorrow with more teaser cards for you!
As always, thank you for your visits and your comments. Warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

What a fun and unique Christmas card! I agree with everything you said about it, Jaydee. And, those hearts–what a marvelous card!! :o)
Isn’t it wonderful to see so many different stamping styles?
Summer has returned with a vengeance here–hot hot hot for the next couple of days and then autumn temps of only 70 this weekend. CRAZY!
hugs!
P.S. Hiya Lou!
Great job ladies and I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of your collections. Thank you for giving to our troops.
