Hi Everyone. Happy Friday.
Well, if last night's card was really feminine, tonight's card is absolutely the opposite!
I saw the sketch across at Moxie

and decided to have a little fun with a set that I bought and have rarely inked up! I did change the sketch just a little – I turned it horizontal instead of vertical. Mind you, you could actually use the card either way, I think.
I decided to go with a masculine color scheme and use geometric shapes. I inked up some of the images from Sketched Shapes and stamped them onto Naturals White card stock. It pairs beautifully with Soft Suede and Baked Brown Sugar. It's interesting that I almost never use Soft Suede, but since I have seen how beautifully it pairs with Baked Brown Sugar, I have been much more inclined to use it!
Of course, I had to add a little something… and the Neutrals Candy Dots were the perfect thing to add a little "something" to the card and break up the angles just a little!
so…lets play with my photo editing software a little and turn this on the vertical!
Yeah… I think it works either way!
On a personal note:
Another fabulous fall-like day today. Sorry, Colleen, I know you are experiencing incredibly warm temperatures. Anytime someone says it's dropping down to 100… you know it's been waaaay too hot!
This afternoon we had 3 Turkey toms, a turkey hen and her poult and Niles and Daphne in our garden this afternoon. It was a standoff between the toms and Niles. The toms won! He and Daphne wondered off about 20 feet away and everyone went back about their business.
Mary, how wonderful you have a young crane and have watched it take its first flight! That is awesome. We think it is much too late in the year for ours to produce off-spring, but are hoping they will bless us with their presence again next year!
Elaine, you asked if we were going to screen in under the deck. We had talked about it – but felt it wasn't worth the cost, especially as we have the gazebo. We might change our minds next year, of course!
Marina, I like my tea like I like my women – strong :-) I couldn't agree with you more! In fact, it's my father's fault that I like strong tea. He was stationed in India before deploying to Burma and developed a taste for VERY strong tea. I don't like mine quite as strong, but for me, nothing is worse than a weak cup of tea. Where I come from, we call weak tea "fortnight tea"…yep, you guessed it… because it is too weak/two weak! 🙂
Brenda, miss you, too and thank you for joining us on another OWH card drive!
Terri, we are so lucky to be sharing our space with the cranes and thank you for being such a long-time follower!
Rach, glad you got a reprieve on the painting. Lou, however, has not:-) He has almost finished… He only has a couple more rooms to do and he's done a fabulous job! He has warned me though, that next time we build a house, I need to go with my initial reaction and choose the color I will ultimately want 🙂
As always, thank you for visiting my little neck of the stamping blogosphere. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

What a great masculine card and the idea that it can be used either way, pretty cool on that part. Great job Jaydee.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the weekend.

Great card, Jaydee!
Fabulous masculine card! I love those candy dots so much, and can’t imagine actually adhering them to a brad…
Summer found us once again…:sigh: It’s all good, though, because it’ll be that much more wonderful when autumn arrives. :o)
Don’t forget, we want to know about Niles and Daphne!
Hugs!
P.S. Oh, Lou, I’m so sorry there are still rooms(!) left to paint…:sigh: Jaydee, I’m with him, next time go with your gut! ;o)
