It's really late here – after 10pm. So I'm going to keep this post really short 🙂
One of the new sets from the SU holiday catalog is called Truly Grateful. I immediately fell in love with this set and knew that it was one that I would add to my preorder.
When I was checking out the Tuesday Trigger at Moxie this week, I found exactly the inspiration I needed to use it.
Here's the inspiration photo
I was inspired by the colors, the stripes, the texture on the ribbon and the chevrons. The minute I saw those elements, I knew that the Truly Grateful set would be the ideal one to use.
Here's my card:
I love the texture on the background stamp, which I inked up with So Saffron onto Whisper White card stock. I stamped the wheat sheaf in Pumpkin Pie onto Whisper White and fussy cut around it. I then took my Gumball Green marker and colored the tie around the sheaf and mounted the sheaf onto the card base with dimensionals.. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black. By doing that, I captured all of the key colors in the inspiration photo.
I really do love this set and can't wait to ink it up some more!
