Quick post for you tonight.
AddictedtoCAS and CAS-ual Fridays have a great challenge this week – a color combo for CAS-ual Fridays and a theme at Addicted to CAS. I used both of these challenges to create a birthday card to celebrate my fellow Paper Players team mate, and all round fab person – Nance. Happy Birthday, Nance. I hope you had a fabulous day.
Here's the challenges:
I used Fine Feathers for the pattern element and a PTI set for the sentiment. I used Coastal Cabana for the Peacock feather and Real Red and Midnight Muse for the sentiment. Here's my card
I added just a little bit of bling with a few pearls and rhinestones in the same color as the Peacock feather and like the way the card now has three circular elements: the "eye" of the peacock feather; the divider between the portions of the sentiments and, finally, the pearls themselves. I do think Coastal Cabana is a really pretty color of blue. It reminds me of the color of the sea over white sands in some fabulously exotic coastal resort. Which is, I suppose, how it got its name 🙂

I too really like Coastal Cabana and think it’s a beautiful cool, crisp blue and love it paired with the red. What a great color challenge.
The card is beautifully CAS, and bet Nance loved it. :o)
