Popping in to let you know – for those of you whom have not already been made aware, Stampin' Up! announced a color refresh today. That includes some colors retiring; some colors returning; one new color – and a re-swizzle of the existing families.
I, for one, am thrilled that some of the colors are sticking around – and even a couple of great ones returning. We haven't heard about the new In Colors yet, but I am looking forward to those, too.
When SU did the color change back in 2010, they did advise that they were planning refreshes ever 3 or so years.
If you think there are colors you are really going to miss, now would be a good time to stock up. To help out, Stampin' Up! is offering free standard shipping from April 6 – April 8. The new colors will be available for order with the new catalog on May 31.
Here's the quick view on what is changing:
Retiring colors:
- Regal Rose
- Pretty in Pink
- Bashful Blue
- Certainly Celery
- Baja Breeze
- Riding Hood Red
- Bravo Burgundy
- Not Quite Navy
- More Mustard (sob. sob. sob.. I'm really going to miss this one!)
- River Rock
New Color:
- Smoky Slate (a lovely soft gray)
Returning Colors:
- Bermuda Bay
- Calypso Coral (sticking around!)
- Pear Pizzazz (oh… yes!)
- Wisteria Wonder
- Soft Sky
- Pool Party (oh, yes!)
- Blushing Bride (oh, yes!)
- Crushed Curry
- Island Indigo (oh, yes!)
The re-swizzled families work really well when you see them together. I'm really excited about the change. Of course, I'm hoping that at some stage Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green come back as permanent colors! Hey, a girl can wish, right 🙂

I was sobbing when I saw Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery were retiring! I said, “Oh no! Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery are retiring!” My brother asked me what in the world I was talking about and after I told him the look on his face said he thought I was crazy! My husband, although teasing me, had an inkling about what I was saying. lol! So, when I got home, I started ordering. Forget free shipping! I wanted to make sure I could get some extra products in those colors!
I am happy that Island Indigo is staying!! Love that color! Already ordered extra products in that color previously!
