Hi Everyone. Happy Monday.
There's a fabulous color challenge across at Dynamic Duos this week. It's really springy and was just what I felt like using this weekend. It also uses my favorite pink!
Ah, yes. I am totally in love with Primrose Petals. It's such a gorgeous pink. In fact, I'm in love with all of the SU In-Colors from last year. I'm hoping that some of them might stick around!
Of course, I felt I had to use Pleasant Poppies. I opened up My Digital Studio and sized the Pleasant Poppies to the size that I wanted. I then printed it out and ran it through my Big Shot and made it into a tag. I then took out my Copic markers to color the flowers. The stems were colored with a Lucky Limeade marker. (Another one of my favorite colors!)
I then put glue on the flowers and dipped them into some really awesome chunky glitter. I couldn't get a photo of how great the glitter looks, but hopefully you get the idea!
I printed the sentiment from a PTI set and cut the sentiment into a banner. I ran the card base through my Big Shot with another funky embossing folder I found! I'm really into embossing folders at the moment. :-) I adhered the tag to the card base using dimensionals and then adhered the sentiment. All that was left was to adhere a button tied with Calypso Coral baker's twine. Even though it's not the same color, it goes really well with the Primrose Petals!
Here's my card.
Don't forget to pop along to Dynamic Duos and check out the fabulous design team inspiration cards. Play along, too!
On a personal note:
Today felt freezing! It was in the 50s this weekend and this morning was 22. With wind chill it felt like 9! Oh… I am sooooooo ready for spring. Because I am so desperate for spring, I decided to check out the progress of the ruby throated hummingbirds. I thought you might all want to check out where they are and ready your feeders for their arrival. You can check out their progress at this website. Don't forget to check out the other hints and tips on attracting and feeding the hummers!
Before I go. A couple of you have asked what embossing folder I used in my Paper Players card this week. You can see the card here. It's made by Cuttlebug and is called "Charles". It comes with the normal embossing folder and an edge one, too. I love it!
As always, thank you for visiting my blog. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

I love your sparkly poppies, Jaydee! Thanks for joining us at Dynamic Duos this week :o)
I love that stamp – so pretty on this card. You make it look like MDS is sooooooo easy … (Evil laugh!). Perfect card, just lovely. Any chance kitty cat has been by?
