Paper Players 139

Hi Everyone

It's my pleasure to host the Paper Players challenge this week and I have a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  Hopefully you will be able to find lots of options to play along with us this week.

I actually made three cards, simply because I couldn't quite make up my mind what to do!  So many choices!

For this card I went with the upper left and lower right combo:   Spring; a Tag; Pink and Green.

Once again, I looked to MDS for an image.  I wanted a floral image and found some fabulous flowers amongst the Green Tea digital stamp set.   I used the leaf image first, coloring it with two slightly different shades of green and got that ready to print.  Next, I chose the floral image and made 3 slightly different sizes of flower and got those ready to print.  I printed them out and colored the flowers with Copic markers.  I then fussy cut around them and dipped them in glitter.   I know it's a little hard to see how shiny it is, but it does look pretty in real life.

Once I had the elements ready, I ran the leaf image through my Big Shot and my tag die.  I then mounted the colored and glittered flowers to the leaf tag base.   I knew that I wanted to put the tag on a DSP base, so went to my Patterns Pack and chose Pink Pirouette.  I rounded the corners and then ran the DSP through my big shot with the zigzag embossing folder.   I rounded all of the corners, to echo the corners of the tag and adhered the DSP to the Pretty in Pink base.  I had also rounded the corners of the card base, too.

Before I adhered the tag, I stuck a piece of very old polka dot ribbon through the hole in the die and stamped the sentiment.  Of course, it had to be a spring sentiment to fit the challenge!  Luckily, I had a set delivered recently from PTI that had a spring sentiment.

Once all of this was done, I was ready to adhere the tag to the base of the card.  Here's what I made

The design team took this challenge in so many different directions.  I really hope you will check out their fabulous inspiration cards.  Of course, I also hope that you will play along with us!

You can check out the design team cards on their blogs below and you can play along with us here.

On a personal note:

Spring is on her way.  Yes….. definitely… it got into the 50s today!  It was unbelievable.  It's getting back down into the 30s on Monday, but I will take these warmer temperatures for the next couple of days!

Lou treated me to a facial and a pedicure today.  It was wonderful.  Really wonderful!  I was so relaxed at the end of it that visiting with our accountant to do the taxes afterwards… well, it didn't feel too bad!

I hope you all have a blessed Easter and, for my Jewish followers, a Happy Passover.

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.  Prayers especially for the Madiba himself, Nelson Mandela.

Have a beautiful Sunday

Hugs

Jaydee
