Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday.
Retrosketches has a great challenge this week. As it is their one year anniversary the challenge is to use any one of their sketches from the last 52. I had seen this one recently and had wanted to play with it, but only saw the sketch about two weeks after the challenge. When I saw the challenge this week, well, it was my opportunity to finally use it!
I really think it is such a cool sketch. I wanted to keep with the floral theme, but go in a different direction. I pulled out a Christmas set and decided to make a card that was a winter themed birthday card.
here's what I did
I masked off a 1" area and stamped the holly image on both the top and bottom. I then used my scoring board to create a horizontal score line above and below where the sentiment would be stamped. Once the sentiment was in place, I took my Cherry Cobbler dazzling details and used them to make the berry dots shimmery, just to add a little glimmer and dimension.
As always, thank you for stopping by my blog. You know I appreciate your visits and your comments. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight. I'll be back on Friday with another card.
Hugs
Jaydee
