Before I get to the card for tonight, I'd like to tell you a little story!
999 blog posts ago I started to blog as I needed a place to load my challenge cards and I thought it would be easier to blog than try to wend my way through sites where you can share photos.
999 blog posts ago, I never thought that I would still be blogging.
999 blog posts ago, I would never have thought that I would get to know some amazing people along the way. Many of you have been with me since the very early days. Some of you are new. All of you that have left comments or sent emails have helped shape this blog, my posts and my cards.
Doing challenges was something I undertook as a way to expand my newly acquired card making wings. I still love doing challenges, but so rarely get the time. My love of challenges also introduced me to the very talented Lesley and that led to an invitation to join the Paper Players. A design team that I am so proud to be a part of.
My blog has become a way for me to share my creative journey with my followers; to occasionally honor those people who have been so important in my life; to occasionally celebrate events in history and to share stories and photographs of the fauna and avifauna that share our little piece of paradise.
It has also been a place where some of my fabulous readers have helped to create over 6,000 cards for charities like Operation Write Home and Enchanted Makeovers. That's pretty awesome for a little blog that started to showcase challenge cards! Those of you who helped create some amazing cards for the charity card drives made the time it takes to compose these 999 blog posts worthwhile!
To help me celebrate this…. MY ONE THOUSANDTH POST….. yes, that is 1,000 posts! I have a few goodies to give away. More about that, after I have shared my card with you!
As my blog started as a place to showcase my cards for challenges, all my cards this week are ones that I made for challenges! I begin the week with a great sketch from Casethissketch. Here's the sketch

Congrats on such a wonderful accomplishment. In addition to all the wonderful cards you post, I really enjoy the photos of nature that you share. I’ve learned so much about some of the birds you have in your area.

Yea, 1000! A great accomplishment, Jaydee. I too remember the 500th and have loved every one of your cards and especially the sharing of your home, and the magnificant wildlife. I have not posted to many of your blogs but have been quite inspired by your work and your stories. I just want to tell you thank you for displaying how to use the crossword stamp on a card, because I want that stamp set, but did not know what or how I would use it. Thank you again. And just wanted to say another thanks for giving me some tips on how to attract different birds, butterflies, etc, I have put together a litte area in the small backyard and I sit there and enjoy watching all kinds of birds….

Congratulations Jaydee !!! 1000 posts is awesome!! I found your site by chance one evening and just loved your cards. I learned how to subscribe and just couldn’t wait to check my email every day! Then there was about a week where you didn’t post and I thought” omg!! Where is Jaydee! I hope something bad hasn’t happened to her ” and so I decided to email you. I was so happy to get your return email and to find out you were fine. Lol!! Funny how connections are made through blogs where you hope everything is going well with people you don’t know–who don’t even know that their blogs are important to an Individual reader. Pretty cool ! Anyway- your blogs make my life even nicer through your cards and your writing. So thank you, Jaydee! You are fabulous!!
Wow–1000 posts! That’s a lot of creativity and generous sharing. I think I found you through the Splitcoast site, and that was because I loved (and still love) your cards. But we both know that it’s your love of nature and your wonderful stories that really keep me coming back. That and your generosity of spirit. I’m a nightowl and so I usually get my daily dose of Jaydee late at night. I look forward every day to seeing what you’ll be sharing that night.

Jaydee, it has been a joy following you blogs! I think, I first met your “following”around the time you found Charlie. I have enjoyed your journaling on the new property and home. You take such wonderful pictures of nature.
