Happy Saturday.
Well, I couldn't resist the challenge across at Time Out this week. The challenge is to create a card based on your favorite movie. Well, my favorite Christmas movie is Bridget Jones's Diary. Yeah…. don't judge me… I just can't help myself. Only Colin Firth could look that gorgeous in a silly Christmas jumper! Honestly, it doesn't feel like Christmas until we've watched BJD!
So, now that you know the theme, it's no surprise that I brought out my Open Book die from Waffle Flower again. I've been wanting to make a card for a friend who is doing multiple rounds of chemo and it's taking a bit of a toll. So, I created this "diary" for her. It has multiple pages with uplifting affirmations and positive statements. Each page has a different one.
Here's a sneak peek of the card:
And here's the badge for the Time Out Challenge:
Some of the sentiments include:
- Not all superheros wear capes
- You are a warrior
- you are so brave
- You are next level amazing
- Today's struggle is tomorrow's power
- It's that heart of gold and stardust soul that makes you so beautiful
Some wonderful sentiments that I found in two sets from Pinkfresh Studio called My Favorite Things to Say 1 and 2.
Of course, I had to find a classic jumper pattern for the background! That's where the Argyle stencil from Simon Says Stamp comes in 🙂
Here's my card:
As I don't want the pages to flatten, I am going to be posting this in a card box that I found at Simon Says Stamp. I know the fabulous design team at Time Out would love you to play along with their challenge.
I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

I love your card! It would be perfect for my school-age granddaughters (4 of them!).
Of course, I would do the card a bit differently, but I love the concept. Thanks for the inspiration!
