Do you see what I see?????

Hi Everyone.

Quick post tonight.  I am still trying to finish up the cards for the EM card drive.  I did want to share a couple of photos with you though.

Yesterday afternoon Lou went out to set up some of the Christmas goodies on the front porch.  I stayed down in my craft room and worked away.   At about 5.30ish I decide to go and see how he was doing.  Imagine my surprise when I saw this?

Yes, the Christmas tree lit….. and the angel lit…. BUT….. what's the funny, sticky, white stuff on the ground?  Yep.  SNOW!   Interesting, cos there was no snow – or moisture of any kind – in the forecast for yesterday!  However, just as Lou was getting going, the snow started to come down.  We must have had about 2 inches in total last night.

I was really… I mean REALLY surprised when I saw the snow.  Sitting in my craft room, I hadn't seen that it was snowing.  I was way too invovled in what I was doing and obviously didn't look out of the window!

I did this morning, though.  The wetland looks gorgeous.

Our little tree fell over!  The winds were really strong last night. 🙂

Lou managed to get some more decorating done today.  I got nothing done.  I didn't expect that it would take me two days to get the cards ready – and I'm still not finished!   However, I am finished making the cards.   I finished up the 1,000th card just before I started my blog post.  Yep, 1000 cards!

I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Players challenge card.  It's my turn to host this week and I have a sketch challenge for you.

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Congrats on making it to one thousand cards!!!! I’m sure the group receiving the cards will be more grateful. Now you should have time to decorate your home and grounds. Have a good weekend. Pam

  2. Well, now I’m insanely jealous! :o) How lovely does that tree look with the snow? Ahhhh. :o)
We’re off to decorate this morning. I’m SO excited!
Congrats on the 1000 cards, that’s INCREDIBLE!
    Hugs!
    P.S. Hi Lou!

  3. 1000 cards. What an accomplishment. And your tree in the snow is magical. Thanks for sharing the snow pictures. It is 40 here in VA but no snow on the horizon.

  4. The picture of the lighted tree is postcard perfect! Gets me in the mood! And congrats on the 1000 cards. Hopefully one of these times you do these projects, I will be able to participate. You are the best!

  5. Hi Jaydee! Your porch looks so pretty, especially with the fallen snow! Lou did a wonderful job. And wow, 1000 cards. That’s so amazing!! You are a very kind person to donate so much of your time and talents to this wonderful cause. I’m sorry to say, that I won’t make my promise this year to help with this one. We’ve had lots of sickness in my family and my time got away from me. I appologize Jaydee. Blessings to you!

  6. WOW, 1,000 cards….congrats to YOU:) Luckily my son-in-law in MN put up some lights Thanksgiving morning when it was in the 60’s. By the time their family/guests were leaving in late afternoon it was sleet and some snow. Does make the trees/lights look beautiful:)

  7. Way to go, girlie! I am very proud of you to make it to 1,000! One of my life’s little pleasures is going to your blog and see what is visiting your feeders each day. Here in Indiana, I am seeing feisty blue jays (mostly), and NO SNOW whatsoever!
