Tea Shoppe for Paper Players 116

Hi Everyone.  Happy Saturday.

Today was the first time I  had gotten into my stamping space in over two weeks.  It took a while just to remember where everything was! 🙂

LeAnne is our fabulous hostess at the Paper Players this week and she has a great theme challenge for us.

This theme was a great inspiration for me this week!  We dropped Pam and John off at the airport this morning and this was the first morning since they arrived that we have not sat around the island in the kitchen or the dinette table, drinking tea from Teavanna, and planning our day.  It felt really strange!  So, I created this card for them.

We introduced them to the delights of the Teavanna tea shop the first morning they were here.  Pam discovered all sorts of wonderful new teas including Lavender Citrus and Strawberry.  I didn't have lavender card stock, so decided I would go with a strawberry hue (thanks to the new In Colors) and play off that.  I also downloaded the digital Tea Shoppe set as I didn't have the physical stamps. 

Once I had printed out the cups, I fussy cut around them and then stamped them with Versamark ink and covered them with clear embossing powder.  Once they were dry, I attached them using Stampin' Dimensionals and added a co-ordinating pearl on each handle.

On a personal note:
A big thank you to all of my regular blog readers for their patience whilst I took a little time off to spend with our friends.  I really do appreciate your support!
We had an awesome couple of weeks and we covered a multitude of activities that they had never indulged in before including:  a baseball game; visiting Home Depot (John and Lou's playground!); Sephora (mine and Pam's playground!); Mall of America; driving over the Mississippi; viewing the amazing fall colors; buying hay bayles and pumpkins to decorate the porch; carving pumpkins and decorating for Halloween.  In addition we saw Blue Birds, deer, turkey, vulture, redtails, salamanders (a first for us on our property!) and a multitude of other flying and walking fauna!  We also visited the nursery and planted native plants.  I think we left them with many wonderful memories of this great state and this great country!  We are so grateful they visited us and can't tell you who fun we had.
I'll be back tomorrow with a longer post and an update on the Operation Write Home card drive – and shout outs to some of our fabulous blogging friends who have already sent along their cards!!!!  THEY ROCK!

  7. Oh, Teavana is such a wonderful place! I found them a few years back and have been hooked ever since. Such a pretty card and I’m sure your friends will love it. THe color combo is gorgeous! 🙂
