Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday.
I saw this great photo inspiration challenge across at moxie this weekend. The amazing Cath always manages to find the most stunning photos – this one is no exception!
Now, I am a sucker for shoes. Lovely, pretty, totally gorgeous shoes. I think these fit the bill! I love the color and the offset with the blue. Gorgeous. Here's what I came up with
Of course, I couldn't just color the shoe, could I?
- I stamped it into three different pieces of DSP/card stock and fussy cut around them.
- I stamped the image onto the Very Vanilla layer and I then pieced the fussy cut pieces together on top of the image.
- I used Baja Breeze card stock for the inside of the shoe. Baja Breeze Patterns DSP for the front of the shoe and Pear Pizzazz Patterns DSP for the outside of the shoe.
- A little bling in the middle of the decoration on the front was absolutely required 🙂
- I stamped the flower image from the shoe on the background DSP just to add a little continuity. It also mimics the look of the inspiration photograph where the leaves are embroidered onto the pillow.
- The ribbon was added to bring in the satiny texture of the shoes – and the knot mimics the knot on the shoes in the inspiration photo
So, what do you think. Can you see the inspiration in my card? I love the color scheme.
On a personal note:
I will be offline until Saturday, when I will be back with my Paper Players card for this week. Pam and John FINALLY arrive tomorrow and we will be spending some quality time with the two of them as they get acclimated to the our weather and our time zone. We are so excited and are running around doing last minute things before tomorrow. We are both working right up until the end of the day tomorrow, so we need to get everything done this evening!
As always, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits – and your comments – are always much appreciated. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Have a wonderful rest of the week
Hugs
Jaydee

I love the inspiration photo, I LOVE the shoe! That shoe is amazing. Is that the one Lou insisted you buy when you were in the UK? It is one fabulous shoe! :o) That said, you and your fussy cutting. Man. It totally makes the card. :o)

Jaydee, that card is so beautiful. I am also a huge fan of shoes, maybe a shoeholic, lol. I love how you cut the pieces and placed them together it truly is unique. I hope you have a wonderful time with your friends and that they enjoy your place as much as we all have. See you when you get back on the blogosphere.
