Hope you are all having a great week and I have a quick post for you tonight.
I really loved the Watercolor Winter set that SU just released. However, I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I saw this sketch across at ispysketches and realized that this sketch was the perfect opportunity to ink up my new set!
Here's what I came up with:
I used all of the stamps in the set and inked them up with either Cherry Cobbler or Always Artichoke ink. But…. because this set is called "watercolor" – I used my Smooch Spritz to add a little sparkle on the stamps. I inked up the stamp and then gently spritzed a little gold spritz onto the stamp before stamping. It made the images less crisp and gives a lovely shimmer. Here's a closeup to show you the shimmer
Mixed with the gold metallic paper, it really is pretty IRL. Of course, I had to add a few pearls to add more texture and make the berries pop!
Here's what I used:
- Card stock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Metallic Gold
- Inks: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler (inks and markers)
- Stamps: Watercolor Winter. Sentiment – MDS
- Tools: Smooch Spritz, copic marker to color pearls

On a personal note:
Lots to do this week, especially at work. I'm getting ready to close out as many projects as I can, or at least get them to a point where they can continue without me when I go on vacation at the end of next week. Of course, there are still several projects to do at home! 🙂 Pam and John arrive in just over a week! I cannot believe that the time has gone so quickly.
The house is starting to take shape. A couple of paintings on the wall, knick knacks unpacked and put in place, drawers and cupboards organized. It's great to finally have furniture and storage that we can put things away. I know it's only been 3 months since we moved into the house, but it is beginning to feel as though we have always lived here!

This is just beautiful, Jaydee. I’m such a sucker for Cherry Cobbler, and to add the Smooch Spritz with all that shimmer? Ahhhh. Lovely. :o)
I’m sorry I’ve been AWOL the past couple of days. Things have been busy busy busy around these parts and are finally settling down.
I would like to join your OWH drive, but can’t promise too many cards. I’ll do what I can as I’m anxious to get in and stamp and create. :o)
