Happy Sunday.
It's my turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week. I used a stencil from Waffle Flower called Spring Breeze to create my card. This is part of the Postal Collage stencil sets, but I used it as a stencil on its own.

I used the full stencil image for my card and used all pastel colors for the images. This is such a fun stencil and I love how versatile it is.
I die cut the sentiment and mounted that onto the card. I added a butterfly I had in my stash from a Pinkfresh Studio class last year as the finishing touch.

On a personal note:
I've had fun playing in my craft room, but also managed to get the house ready for spring and summer. Gone are all the winter elements that we have enjoyed over the last few months. I do very little decorating for this time of year and rely on just a few key pieces.
The mantle piece has been cleaned out and readied for spring/Easter. A simple wreath of green leaves and white flowers, a couple of vases, one with tulips, and some fun bunny heads are all that was needed. I did leave the basket lanterns that were on the fireplace beginning in fall. I just think they fit any season, so have decided to leave them there permanently. The large gold houses that were on the right of the fireplace have been replaced with much smaller candle holders. The Christmas tree has been replaced by an 8 foot tree which is much more appropriate for this time of year 🙂
One thing we have added to the living area is a set of cupboards and two really fun mirrors that act as an art installation as well as mirrors. I love how they reflect back the light and the cupboards help to make the space feel more initimate in a room that has over 20 foot ceilings.
And in case you were wondering about those fun bunny heads on the fireplace, here's a closer look:
Aren't they cute?! I just love them. This is the 4th year they are having an outing 🙂
And I love how it all comes together at night. The lights in the cupboard add lighting to an area that was traditionally pretty dark
Needless to say, the minute we had decorated for spring – this happened!
It did look pretty though 🙂

What a beautiful card, Jaydee! I love the soft vibe and sweet sentiment. This is a card that is made to lift the spirits! I enjoyed this challenge. Those pretty stencilled butterflies are perfect for spring Jaydee – and in complete contrast to the snow outside for sure! Love the peeks of new decor too – and the bunny heads are adorable!

I couldn’t wait to read how you’d created your card. I was having bets with myself over whether you’d found just the perfect paper or whether you’d stencilled that gorgeous panel. Now I know! The little embossed butterfly is just the clincher to a perfect card. 🙂

Oh, Jaydee, that stenciled background looks stunning in the soft pastels that you used! I love the sweet images that are so evocative of spring. It’s such a beautiful card.

Jaydee, this card shouts Spring. The stenciled butterflies are lovely. The mix of pastels is so delicate and refreshing. What a great color combo to welcome Spring.
