Grateful and what is really at the end of a rainbow!

Hi Everyone.  Happy Thursday.

I have a quick post for you tonight – and lots of photographs.

I saw this wonderful challenge on a hiterto undiscovered site.  It was a photo inspiration.  the photo was a kiwi kiss green wall hanging with handwritten sayings on it.  On the bed was a fabulous neutral duvet cover with two fabulously graphic cushions in black and white.    Now… I was VERY inspired by the site – and very inspired by the photograph and, the reason that I am describing this inspiration (and doing a pretty poor job) is that I cannot find the site anymore… so, if this rings a bell for you, please would you leave me a message and let me know where you saw it.  Cos, I'd love to visit again.

In the meantime…. here's the card.   Before I show you though… i want to tell you why I love Stampin' Up! stamps.  They stamp first time, almost everytime.  Clear.  Crisp and fabulous.  This stamp….. took me 6 goes on vellum and it would NOT stamp properly.   It drove me crazy.  In the end, after 6 attempts, I decided I didn't have another 20 minutes and decided to show you this card.  At least you get the idea and hopefully it gives you some inspiration.

This card is dedicated to Pammie – for whom it was meant – to say thank you for the wonderful housewarming gifts… especially the plaque.   As this card didn't turn out too well, Im off to make another one instead!

Card (1)

Now… I have to share these pictures.  Last night we had a storm.   I looked out of the great room window and saw this

Rainbow

A rainbow….. I went to the front of the house and saw this

Rainbow2

can you see it….. coming past the roof of the garage all the way past the electrical box?  can you see it…. how about a closer look

Rainbow4

Yes….. the optical illusion made the rainbow go right over our house…. and where was the end of the rainbow?

Rainbow2

If you look carefully….what is at the bottom of a rainbow is actually an electrical box!!!!!  I then went back to the other side of the house, after the storm was over – and the rainbow was still there

Rainbow5

Isn't that AWESOME!!!!!   I cannot tell you how happy this made us.  We were able to sit on the front stoep last night and just watch the weather.  It was really dry at the front of the house.    This morning, at around 5.15 we awoke to the most amazing sunrise.   Sadly, I didn't have my camera so wasn't able to capture it… but it was a perfect way to start the day.

In the middle of the morning, Lou came and got me out of my office to take a look at a visitor who had parked itself on one of the chairs on the front stoep.

Moth

Seriously, that is one prehistoric, absolutely amazing looking moth… well at least I think it's a moth.  I now have to go off and try to identify it!

As always, thank you so much for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere.   I really do appreciate it – just as I appreciate your comments.

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Beth… I hope you had a wonderful visit with Lucy!

Hugs

Jaydee
