Just Believe – Blushing Bride

Hi Everyone.  Happy Thursday night.

I thought the title of tonight's post was perfect – especially considering what is going on across the pond in good old Blighty tomorrow!

A blushing bride who just had to believe that her dashing prince would finally pop the question and make her a princess – and a queen in waiting!  Pretty awesome, really!

I created this card based on one that I saw in the Stampin' Success magazine.  I was going to recreate the card in its entirety, but I had loaned out the stamp set that it needed.  So, I decided to take the overall layout and change out the stamps.  It was about time that I inked up the Just Believe set again!

Justbelieve (1)

Card recipe – all ingredients Stampin' Up!

  • Card stock:  Blushing Bride, Whisper White
  • Stamps:  En Francais (card base).  Just Believe – focal image
  • Accessories:  Basic Rhinestones.  Blushing Bride ribbon
  • Inks:  Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride

I really think it is such a pretty color scheme and love the rhinestones.  I will still be making the original card, I hope to get time to do that this weekend.

On a personal note:

This has been a very, very long week.  Today I had a meeting for the whole day in the office and then had to come back and do the work that I would normally do during the day when I got back.  I was also at my desk at 6 am – and had been at my desk at 5.15 the morning before.  Tonight…. I'm just a little tired, so Lou and I are going to have some home made soup and an early night.

So… for those of you who are royal watchers…. I'm taking bets… no money changes hands of course, just for fun.

Here are my predictions – and I would love to hear yours…. if you do it before the occasion happens, right!!! 🙂

  • Hair up or down?  Half up and half down
  • Tiara or no tiara?  Definitely Tiara
  • Bridesmaid dresses colors?  Blue
  • Honeymoon?  Australia or the South Pacific
  • Dress – pouffy or non-pouffy?  I think somewhat pouffy – I don't think it will be a Monique Lhullier style – which, of course, would suit her wonderfully!  I think it will have a little more volume.
  • Lace or no lace?  Mmmm… I think a little lace – but don't think the whole dress will be covered in lace
  • Flowers?  mmmm…. lilies, roses and the bouquet won't be that large either
  • Obey or not to obey…. definitely not obey

Any other ideas?

Prayers tonight for those who have been so affected by the dreadful storms in the south.  I am saddened by the lives that were taken over the last few days.  Prayers, too, for those of you who need a little lift or a warm hug.

Have a wonderful Friday

hugs

Jaydee

  1. I agree with your wedding predictions–you sure you don’t want to bet a packet of SU rhinestones?! Except that I think the dress will somehow be quite fitted and not pouffy. Which I guess is not that different from your prediction. I’m sorry you have to be so overworked in your job–talented stamping artists like you shouldn’t have to waste their time with vexing toil, only creative fun *wish, wish*!

  2. Well, Jaydee, I set the alarm for 3:00 to watch the wedding. I am enjoying every minute of it, so far…and it’s just the arrival of the celebrities! lol What a beautiful card! I am so sorry that you have put in such long hours. Hopefully your work load will lighten up!

  3. I’m SO excited about the wedding! I was up at 4:00–with a screaming Beanie–and went back to bed. Instead, I have recorded and am watching now.
I’ve not seen anything yet, so I’m predicting:
    *Hair 1/2 up 1/2 down
    *Tiara
    *blue dresses
    *Kenya for the honeymoon
    *Non-poufy dress–Kate isn’t a poufy kind of girl
    *DEFINITELY lace
*Hm, flowers. Something understated and elegant, like Kate
This is such a beautiful day!
Speaking of beauty, your card is a beauty as well. :o) I LOVE the “Just Believe” set. :o)
    Hugs!

  4. My daughter and I set our alarms and got up to watch when Diana married Charles. This time I was older and wiser – I watched over coffee on the DVR! I won’t give away any secrets, but will say she was a very regal bride! No puffs.

  5. Jaydee, this is such a gorgeous card! Such a perfect color choice, too. I was up early to watch the festivities and I was so happy I did! She was such a beautiful bride! Oh my goodness! I loved every bit of it! 🙂 I’m so sorry you have had such a busy week. I hope you get to relax a little this weekend! Hugs!
