Hi Everyone. Happy Monday.
I managed to get a little time to play with some of my new Christmas goodies today, so have some new cards made up to share with you over the next couple of weeks.
On Christmas Day, I spent some quality time in my stamp room getting cards ready to send to Robin, aka the Sky Angel, for her troops. It felt really good doing something for someone else on Christmas Day and I managed to make up and package nearly 200 cards for her. After that, I felt I could go play.
What did I get that I could play with? Well, some new Stampin' Up! goodies from the occasions mini. I got a Copics airbrush system. Oh and I finally, finally, gave in and got an Scotch ATG "gun". Lou got lots of things that he did not expect! He tells me they were good surprises.
I popped across to Palspaperarts and saw a wonderful sketch challenge and decided it was the perfect sketch for one of the new goodies I got. I saw this "Nature's Stamps" set from Mark's Finest Papers and loved the fact that I would be able to color it. Y'all know that I love coloring, I really do find it very relaxing. 🙂
I combined the stamp with the En Francais background stamp and the sentiment from the Three Little Words set. I also combined two colors that I don't normally use, Poppy Parade and Pacific Point. It's a little hard to see, but I used my airbrush system to color the background of the stamp in the palest blue. I stamped the butterfly twice and cut around the second one, so that I could add it to the base to add a little depth.
Don't forget to pop along to Palspaperarts and see the fabulous design team cards and the submissions.
Prayers tonight for Rose, who finished her radiation on Christmas Eve. Adelle. Germaine and Pri. For those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Thank you for spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere, you know I appreciate your visit.
Have a fabulous Tuesday everyone.
Hugs
Jaydee

That blue butterfly is exquisite! Just pops off the page!
My goodness, Jaydee–200 cards! Your hands must have just been flying! What a generous thing for you to do on Christmas Day.
I agree with Linda on both accounts! WOW-200 cards!
And the butterfly does look like it’s fixing to fly away at any moment! Thank you for sharing another awesome creation!
I just LOVE Poppy Parade! What a fun, intense color. You have once more proven yourself to be the snipping queen. :o) What a fun card–the contrast between the butterfly and the flower is striking.
200 cards? Boy, my little pile seems like a pittance by comparison…but, I know every little bit helps. You are an amazing woman, my friend!
What wonderful news about Rose finishing her radiation treatment. My prayers for all in need.
hugs!
I LOVE my ATG gun! I always used the “gold” adhesive but I switched to the ATG 987 – 60 yards V. 37 yards of the gold and it works just as well! Enjoy! Char
I just purchased an ATG gun yesterday and can’t wait to play with it.
I love this card and agree with everyone else that the butterfly looks to be flying away. Lovely, like always!
Wow…this is a fabulous stamp! I love the coloring!
Gorgeous card! Absolutely love the butterfly on the flower. Thanks for playing along at PPA.
