I hope you are all having a fantastic week and getting ready for Saturday! We have had several little parcels arrive today 🙂
It's also official. We have had the snowiest month of any month of any year on record! In fact, we have had 75% of our season snowfall before the first day of winter! This month alone we have had Nearly 38" with just a tad under 40" for the season so far. Our garden really does look like the most magical place on earth. The deer were trying to get to one of the feeders this week and were having to jump in the snow. They were up to their haunches in the snow and the only way they could get around was to bound. It was phenomenal to watch it. It has also been just a little warmer these last few days. Glorious!
Tonight's card was created to celebrate Bethany. Bethany worked really hard to get straight A's this year and be placed on the honor roll. So, Brenda, Cherie and I got to celebrate this achievement with the young-lady of the hour. It was my honor to be a part of those celebrations.
I started this card off very differently. I saw a piece of retired DSP that I liked… pink and turquoise and rose red and thought.. yep… this is cool…. errrrr…. mmmmm…. not…. I realized it was way too young and that Bethany deserved something with much more bling and pizzazz and over the top blingy to celebrate.
Consequently, I started again, using a different DSP. It's the new glittery DSP (card sstock) from the occasions mini. Of course, I had to pair it with black and gold. The sentiment from Papertrey ink was the perfect sentiment for the occasion. The little touch of Real Red satin ribbon finished off the card.
Congrats, Bethany. You do rock, girly!

Prayers tonight for Rose.. who has three more treatments to go. For Germaine and Pri. For Adelle – I am still thinking about you a lot, my friend. For Rach and Lesley, I'm so pleased that you are starting the remember the good times. To all of you who need a lift tonight.

Jaydee, that card would make ME want to celebrate. Bethany is one girly who truly does rock! :o)
