Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday night. Welcome back to another Technique Tuesday.
Several of you have asked me to create a video on how to use stencils on your cards. Here are a couple of examples where I have used this technique.
It's really simple to do. My favorite stencil right now is the Mostly Vintage stencil from the 2010/2011 catalog. Yes, it can be used for vintage….but I love it's bold graphic qualities that work really well with more contemporary, clean lines. As you can see from the examples above.
Quick note on the video. If you find that you get the red curtain and no video – just press the arrow key and it should reveal. This technique should work if you get sound and no picture…. just reload the page by clicking on the arrow.
You will have to forgive the umms a little. I made this video, and a couple of others, after just getting the news about my *mom* (my surrogate mother, actually. She's my best friend's wonderful mother, who "adopted" me when my parents died in my 20's. *Mom* was diagnosed with breast cancer and I had just heard the news. Consequently, my mind was trying to do the videos, but was also at home.
On a personal note:
Lou and I are still enoying our two weeks together. It's wonderful to be able to just spend time and relax, read books and just chill. It's been a long year for both of us and we are really loving this time together.
Prayers for all of you who need a little lift today
Hugs
Jaydee

I absolutely thought I had commented today. Crud.
Thank you! I’m always so intrigued by stencils and yet have no clue how to go about using them. Or, more to the point, *had* no clue. Thank you for taking the time to put this together, even though you were having a difficult go of it. I didn’t notice the “ums” that much at all.
What a wonderful video tutorial on the stencils. It’s amazing how you can add such depth with the touch of the sponge. You made it look so easy. I really like it and appreciate your taking the time to show us. THANK YOU. I was wondering getting the Vintage Ornament but not sure the Vintage Ornament I or II. If you have either one, can you comment on it please? I saw this sketch from last week’s PP#21 (see entry #19) and I really like it. I am itching to play/try some but I need some sort of stencil, right??? 🙂
