Hi Everyone.
Very quick post for you tonight.
I wanted to share a card I made using a Palspaperarts sketch from a couple of weeks ago. I love the clean and simple lines of the sketch and felt that it called out for a meaningful sentiment. It also allows me to show you that even little bows are made the same way as the bigger bows!
Isn't that a truly phenomenal sentiment?
I used a Wordsworth sentiment, my favorite Riding Hood Red card stock and Love Letters DSP. I also used some of my very precious Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon. I have so little left of this gorgeous ribbon, that I used it very sparingly.
Talking of bows…. I loved this perfect little bow on this perfect card. Now, seriously, isn't that just a perfect bow!
FEEL GOOD FRIDAYS:
So… I promised you what I considered to be a feel good story on Fridays. I read about this young lady two weeks ago at the hairdressers. I don't generally read popular magazines, so, I take the time to indulge when I am at the hairdresser. I have very curly, very frizzy, very thick hair. My treat is to go to the hairdresser, have someone else wash it…. and straighten it! Oh! Yes! That is such a sweet indulgence… having someone else straighten my hair! Anyway, I digress…. my hairdresser also knows that I consider my time at the hairdresser my "quiet" time. It's a time when I can completely switch off from telephones, conference calls and TALKING. She brings me a supply of popular magazines and lets me be. BLISS!
So… I discovered this story a couple of weeks ago. It blew my mind. If there are more teenagers like this, who have these amazingly altruistic thoughts and intentions, then I feel better about the world!
Prayers for Nichole and Bob. Germaine. Lesley, Adelle, Rach (and their furbabies), T, Pri, Arthur, John & Sue.
Thank you for spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Have a fabulous Saturday everyone.
Hugs
Jaydee

Jaydee – I stocked up on this ribbon and have several rolls. I’d love to send you one!
Such a stunning card. Classic design.
Beautiful card, Jaydee! Your sentiments are always so inspiring. I enjoyed reading the article, also. My experience with teens through the decades is that they are generally the ones who see the solutions and who strive to take action. Every year, up until my surgery, my students were required to write up an “action plan” as part of a bioethics unit I taught. It is amazing what these students accomplished, not only for humans in need, but also animals in need.
Beautiful card. I love the colors and the layout.
Funny this book is on my wish list at the library. What a fantastic article.
I love that you put the extra effort not only into the sentiments on your cards but into sharing stories like this and your different thoughts. Your lovely comment about my card this morning made me smile and then I smiled again when I saw your card and then AGAIN when I read this article. So you have really made my morning lovely.
Jaydee,
Thank you so much for the link to Hannah’s story. I am inspired and am sharing it with others that will be too.
