Slideshow night – Featuring Rach

Hi Everyone.  Happy Thursday night.  I am also happy to report that it is 74 degrees and the relative humidity is only 54%.  OH.  JOY!!!!  Trish, I am hoping that this means there is some cooler weather coming your way, too!

Don't forget – the Operation Write Home card drive is in progress.  I know that you would love the chance to either win $100 or $50 in free goodies – of your choice – from Stampin' Up!  So, don't forget to let me know that you will be participating.  Holiday cards are required!  Talking about OWH cards, I will be featuring some slide shows over the next few days of cards that were created by all you wonderfully talented ladies who participated in our last card drive.  They are appearing on my blog based on the order that I took the boxes/envelopes off my table and sorted them!  First up – well second up, really, cos I have already shown you Lynn's great cards! :-)  Tonight's show is all about Rach!  Rach so enjoyed passing some cards along to the troops, that she called her Mom and asked her to do the same!  Way to go, Rach!

Here's some of Rach's cards on my table before I began sorting into categories, stamping the back, etc.

Rach1

and here are some of the ones that I photographed.  I photographed them at random based on nothing other than something caught my eye and the fact that I wanted to give you a variety.

Rach2

Now, I know you will all love this one with the fishes swimming in the sea, the sand, the accoutrement that always seems to accompany a trip to the beach, the sun and the sentiment!

Rach3

I love this card.  Rach, I have no idea what stamp set you used for this, would you mind leaving a comment and letting us know.  It really is fabulous.

Rach4

this one is definitely on my CASE list for Christmas.  I love the fact that you can make it a Chanukah card with these colors too, just change out the decoration for a menorah and change the sentiment.  Or, you can make it green and red – or any other color that strikes your fancy for Christmas.  Fabulous clean, crisp layout and I know that many of you will like this!

Rach5

Those of you who have been around my blog for a while will know why this card caught my eye!  Just how many cards did I make last year with the Delightful Decorations set?   Not enough, obviously, cos I decided this was another great card to CASE!

Rach6

Yummy…… love this color scheme and the crystal effects on the limes!  Maragrita's anyone?   Mmmmm…. Limes?  I think it must have been a long week – THESE ARE LEMONS… Honestly, sometimes I amaze myself!!!!

Rach7

I am not saying anything about this card – except the nautical colors, the 90 degree angles are all perfect for this focal image and sentiment.  PERFECT!

Rach8

Love this card.  I've been contemplating getting this set and I think this card sold me!

Rach9

What a perfect card to finish off the slide show with!

So, lots of fabulous cards that I know the recipients and the givers – will absolutely love.  Thank you, Rach!

Now, I'm off to make gravy for dinner… Well, you can't have bangers and mash without gravy now can you…. even if they are vegetarian sausages 🙂

Prayers for Trish, Germaine, T (so pleased to hear the news, Cherie), Pri, Arthur and John.

Have a fabulous Friday eveyone.  Thank you to all of you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere…. In case anyone is interested…. I am 133 visitors away from 100,000 visitors.   I am stunned and so humbled – and really, really, really chuffed… For our American speakers – chuffed is English for really pleased 🙂

Hugs to you all

Jaydee

  1. Fabulous cards Rach! ALL are so very pretty! I can’t even pick one I like more than the rest since they’re all just super!
(Also, Jaydee…I got my goodies today – and it feels like Christmas!! Thanks so much)
    Lynn

  2. Beautiful cards!
Jaydee, I believe that stamp set is called Organic Grace! I may be wrong! But those cards are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them with us!

  3. LOL! I clicked over to see something you made and instead found me! I looked at that top picture and said, “Hey! Those are mine!” Hee hee!
Thanks everyone! You know I had a BLAST making them. :o)
Missy is correct, that stamp set is “Organic Grace”, a now retired hostess set. I LOVE it, but it’s actually my mom’s and I had to borrow it from her. :oP
The citrus card uses a really nifty technique. What looks like Crystal Effects is actually Versamark and clear embossing powder. You double ink your stamp, first with the Versamark and then the ink of your choice. Then, coat with clear embossing powder and hit it with the heat gun. Isn’t that so cool?
That “Life’s a Breeze” set was MUCH harder to work with than I had ever anticipated. That was the best I could come up with. :o(
The “‘Tis the Season” card was my Christmas card last year, lol! I’m glad you liked it. As for the “Delightful Decorations”, that was a mock-up of the ones I made for my school’s fall auction.
I was more than happy to participate. I had all these cards just lying around, waiting for a worthy cause. What better cause than OWH?
Hee hee, Jaydee, I use “chuffed” all the time. My friend Paul is from South Shields and he brought that very perfect word over with him. :o)
Prayers to one and all. Happy Friday!! :o)
    HUGS!

  4. Rach, awesome cards! I love that you are not afraid of a little color :0) I know that your talent will make a lot of people very happy. Jaydee, Thanks for sharing these talented ladies’ creations with us. It feels like we’ve all gotten together for coffee and are ooohhhing and aaahhhing with each other. I’m thrilled to be able to be a part of this group!
Have a great Friday One & All!

  5. Beautiful cards Rach! Great ideas and great layouts and color combos! I like the variety, but I think my favorite is the last one.
It is a great feeling to know that someone will really appreciate all the hard work you have put into your cards.
Thanks Jaydee for enabling us all!

  6. Gorgeous cards Rach, I may case some of them too! Yes, I love that set Organic grace! Jaydee thank you for showing us all the cards and taking the time specially for us! Prayers for all that need it! Missy I had a dream of you, with a little doggy in the woods! Trish, wee prayers to you my friend! Take care all, and Hugs to all always! G
