Jayne’s Alphabet – Female Valentine

Hi Everyone

some of you may remember my Jayne's Alphabet Masculine Valentine.  Well, you did ask me for the feminine version – so here it is!

I used Jayne's Alphabet, En Francais background stamp and the heart from You and Moi (one of the freebies during SAB this year).  I also used the Sending Love DSP as the square matts.

  • I stamped En Francais on the Real Red Card stock in Versamark
  • I then stamped L, O, and E in Real Red craft and embossed with Iridescent Ice.
  • I then stamped the heart from You and Moi in Real Red craft and again I embossed it with Iridescent Ice
  • I used my 1" punch to punch out the L, O, E and the heart
  • I used my 1 1/4" punch to punch out the squares of Sending Love DSP
  • I then used my 1 3/8" punch to punch out the Real Red matts
  • I put dimensionals behind the Real Red squares and adhered them to the card stock
  • The pink satin ribbon is from the new mini – I just LOVE this ribbon.
  • I used a hat pin and pearls from the Pretties Kit and, voila!  a feminine version of the 4-up Jayne's Alphabet masculine valentine.

I did try it with the fabulous red satin ribbon, but it just didn't have the same punch as the pink.  Also, the pink helps to tie in the pink in the Sending Love DSP matts behind the letters.  The Iridescent Ice gives just the right amount of bling.  I don't generally use the hat pins – in fact this is only the second card I have made with them, but when I put it on this card, it really just finished it off and gave it that extra feeling of "specialness" that I wanted.  Well, I don't know what is going on with Typepad… but I am still having these washouts on the photos.  Im my photoediting software the pic looks great, but when I bring it into typepad it looks less vibrant and more washed out!  Mmmm….  Anyway, it really is rich and vibrant with the Real Red!

Missy – this one is for you!

I am so looking forward to Friday… I really need this weekend and want to spend some time getting to know some of my new goodies that arrived for Valentine's Day.  I have all these ideas running around in my head – and that's never a good thing! :-)  I realized tonight when I started this post, that last night was my 200th post!  I was amazed when I realized that!  So, happy 201st post to my blog 🙂

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday.  Stay warm.  Stay safe.  Have Fun!  As always, thank you for spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  Your visits are always appreciated!

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. It seems as though squares are really popular this year. I have seen them all over the place. Your card is beautiful! I love the touch of the DSP behind the letters, it fits in just right and gives just the right balance to the sparkle on the letters. You know, I wouldn’t have thought to use a red base on the squares and then have a red background, but it really works and looks wonderful. I agree, your pink ribbon really does set it off and the added jewels oh man, they make the card look so rich. You are so very creative. I don’t know how you do it day after day, coming up with a new project. They are all so great. Stay safe and warm and may you always be as Blessed as you are today.
