Hi Everyone. Happy Friday night and welcome to Jaydee's SU stamping space. I'm so pleased it's Friday. No update from Typepad on when they will have THE problem with my feedburner fixed! I'm hoping they will get it fixed soon so that you can get your automatic updates.
Tonight's card is a Christmas Card – this one is clean and simple and is for two challenges. The splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple color challenge – to use White and 1 other color. Also, the Palspaperarts team have a Christmas cheer challenge this week. You should check out both places for inspiration. You are absolutely guaranteed to find some!
I did this card in two different variations – one using two colors – and this is the card for tonight. I love the challenge of clean and simple cards – and y'all know that I love Christmas cards!
- I used my (newly arrived) metallic brushed gold card stock – which I absolutely love btw… it's rich and sumptuous and just fabulous to use.
- To continue the shimmery theme, I used Shimmer White card stock for the white matt and stamped a Delightful Decoration onto shimmer white card stock and embossed it in Gold embossing powder. (you can see my other delightful decoration cards here
- I used the Christmas Greetings – "Merry Christmas" and embossed it with white embossing powder. Kelli, I can't use this sentiment without thinking of you 🙂
- I cut around the delightful decoration using my snips and mounted it on to the matt with stampin dimensionals.
- I then used my paper piercer and template to pierce holes all the way around the matt to frame it – and also to match the "holes" on the delightful decoration ornament.
- Final touch… a little piece of elastic gold cord was wrapped and tied around the ornament.
All round – one of my favorite cards for this year – and one that I think many of my friends will receive. I enjoyed the challenge – and am always grateful to the teams who work so hard to make the challenges happen. I'd also like to thank the palspaperarts team for choosing my Gifts of Christmas card as a gallery favorite this week and to my friends at Stamping411 for choosing my More the Merrier – silver snowmen for their showcase gallery this week. Being chosen for the galleries is an honor for me and I am exceptionally grateful.
Both of these teams work so hard to provide us all with inspiration and give us a place for all of us to showcase our creations. If you aren't taking part in the challenges – I really recommend that you do… and at least pop along to their sites and check out the amazing and varied creations.
As always, thank you for spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits are always appreciated. I hope you have a fabulous Saturday and that Friday the 13th was good to you!!!!
Peace
Jaydee
