Hi Everyone!
Happy Sunday. I hope you have all had a fabulous weekend.
Quick post today. (As always, all stamps are Stampin Up and today's card uses the Level 3 Hostess Set – The More the Merrier.) Several of you have sent me emails asking me if I had any more Halloween cards. Today, I've posted the halloween pumpkin image from the set. Tomorrow, I'll be loading another card made using Halloween Hoot.
I LOVE this set and I've made several great projects with it. It's so versatile and I love the fact that you can make the cards simple and quick, or more complicated!
I used Always Artichoke for the card and Dusty Durango textured card stock for the matting. For this version, I decided to only color the eyes, the mouth, stalk and leaves. this made for a clean image. (I've played around with others where I've colored all the pumpkins. Keeping it easy, ensure that this is a card that can be made in 10 minutes.
I mounted the whisper white onto a small piece of Always Artichoke and colored the stems and leaves in Always Artichoke as well.
I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White and punched it with the Oval punch. I punched out a matt for the sentiment and mounted it with a couple of Stampin Dimensionals.
To finish off, I wrapped the front of the card in the Dusty Durango polka dot ribbon, this time tying it so that just the knot had the polka dots.
To keep the card clean and simple, I left as much "white space" (or in this case Always Artichoke :-)) space as I could and leave it unadorned. I used Dusty Durango to stamp the image and then Always Artichoke and a Summer Sun marker for the eyes and mouth. I used the scallop punch to punch the bottom of the Dusty Durango matt.
I was really pleased with the way it turned out. So… tune in tomorrow for more from Halloween Hoot.
Have a fabulous Monday and thank you for spending time in my little piece of the stampin blogosphere.
Peace
Jaydee
