Big Shot Butterflies – Wish Big

Hi Everyone!  Happy Saturday night!  A quick post tonight using my Stampin Up Big Shot and the Butterflies die.Ssc239diva

In my post yesterday, I promised to show you another take on the ssc239 challenge.  I combined it with the Diva Coffee Break Design Challenge number 138.  The challenge was to use the Big Shot.  Now… I have to be honest… I never need an excuse to pull out my big shot.  If you have been following my blog, you will know that I use it frequently for background texturizing on my cards.  In this case, I decided to take it front and center.  I used the butterfly die and mounted the butterflies to conform with the Splitcoast challenge.  I adhered the butterflies with snail and turned back the wings.  It's a card that makes me smile.  I used the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper and picked the Certainly Celery, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry colors to match the dotted paper from the cottage wall DSP.

On the personal front:  a trip to the farmer's market this morning to buy lots of gorgeous fresh veggies.  The weather is still unseasonably cool, which means that we don't have some of the veggies that we would normally have at this time of the year, like peppers!  However, still a selection of heirloom tomatoes for the picking.  We also tried the heirloom cucumbers.  Hey, I didn't even know there was such a thing…. but we are pleased we discovered them!

I hope you have an inspirational day, doing the things you love with the people you love!
Peace
Jaydee

  1. I agree about not needing an excuse to use the Big Shot! This card is awesome… the tone on tone with the greens and the touch of Rich Razzleberry are just FUN!! Thanks for playing along!

  2. Hi Ilse and Kristin. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I love the butterflies, too. So I couldn’t wait to use them this way. It’s strange.. when I first thought about the Big Shot, I was worried I wouldn’t use it. Now, I find myself thinking about it just about everytime I build a card. 🙂
