Happy Sunday and greetings from off the coast of Madagascar!
It's the fabulous Anne Marie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's theme week. Oh and it's a theme that my friends in the UK can really relate to!!! I also have to tell you that the card this week is NOT a mini slimline. yay. :-). In fact this week's card was a perfect opportunity to use some of the die-cuts I bought from Alexandra Renke, including two of my favorite butterfly dies.
Here's a sneak peek:
Oh…and here is Anne Marie's theme challenge:
The indigo blue on the second butterfly looks distinctly black, but I promise you it isn't! I just love those butterflies and I am always a sucker for anything rainbow. I also love the sentiment from the Alexandra Renke die. I do hope you will play along with our challenge this week. We would love to see what you create. As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you:
On a personal note:
Well, I find it hard to believe that we are homeward bound. I now have just 4 weeks left of my cruise and, due to the route change, we have visited most of the places that we are doing on our return trip so I have lots of sea days coming up. Not that I am adverse to sea days. I really do love sitting out on my deck just watching the skies change and the waves. It's especially gorgeous right now as the weather is less humid and hot as we left Asia. I thought I would share a couple of photos of the view from my balcony.
It's so rare to have a day like this… bright sunshine and almost a flat sea. So calm that you can see the clouds reflected in it
Then there are those days where the clouds look enormous and oh so close… oh… and some pretty Islands in the middle of Indonesia make a fabulous anchor point for photos!
Then… there are those sunsets that just take your breath away
And others that are totally sublime and I realized just how lucky I am 🙂
I'm busy prepping a travel update which should be posted on Tuesday. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

OK, that last sunset photo – wow! Can’t believe you’re on your way home home already. I think taking the extended cruise was a fabulous idea to give yourself time to reset after retiring. After so many years of putting in long days and long hours each day it gave yourself a relaxing break and change of pace and also something to really look forward to – both the cruise and a new lifestyle waiting for you back home. That is the most cheerful, bright, happy card I’ve seen. Love it.
These photos are AMAZING!!!!!! I know this has been the trip of a lifetime! I love your rainbow butterflies. That sentiment die is soooo fantastic. I have never seen it before. You keep having a blast, My Friend!
You are sooooo lucky!!!! I think we all are just for the fact of being alive. Love you.
This is so cute, Jaydee! Love your rainbow-hued butterflies, but that sentiment is my favorite part! Love it!
First, your photos are breathtaking, Jaydee! What a voyage you are on! And now the card…I LOVE the rainbow butterflies. How perfect they are for accenting this fabulous sentiment! Enjoy the rest of your cruise!
Beautiful photos Jaydee and a fabulously happy and sunny card – I love the style of those butterflies too! We sure could use some of that beautiful sunshine here in the UK at the moment!
