Altenew Sweet Harvest Dies for Try a Sketch on Tuesday 676

Happy Thursday.

I hope you are all having a great week so far.  As for me, I managed to get into my craft room and play with my new monthly kit from Altenew called Sweet Harvest.  It comprises of a fabulous apple stamp that I used in this post, as well as these fabulous pie dies.  I don’t have anything like this in my stash and thought they were just perfect for the upcoming season.  I saw a sketch across at Try A Sketch on Tuesday that was perfect for my pies.

I began my card by die-cutting the pieces for the pie.  I die-cut the apple and pie pieces from Spellbinders Alabaster cardstock and then went to work blending all the different colors for each of the items.  For the base of my pie I used Desert Storm cardstock as it gave me a good base from which to work.

I die-cut the cooling rack from metallic cardstock and the table cloth was cut from a pack of gingham paper that came free with a recent Spellbinders order.  I cut my focal layer just a little less wide and then added it to a Lipstick-colored base.  I adhered all the elements and my card was complete.

Here’s my full card:

Doesn’t that pie look yummy… OK..maybe everyone doesn’t like their pastry that brown, but I do :-). Just as I like my toast almost burnt!

Card recipe:

  • Stamps and dies:  Sweet Harvest – Altenew
  • Cardstock:  Spellbinders and The Stamp Market

  1. What a cute card and so fallish! Great dies. This really stood out to me in the gallery and had to come take a look see. Thanks for playing over at TSOT.

  2. This is such an adorable card, Jaydee! Love that pie and apple slices on the side! Looks good enough to eat! And that patterned paper finishes it off perfectly! Thanks for sharing with us at Try a Sketch on Tuesday!
