Happy Sunday.
It’s the fabulous LeAnne’s turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it’s color week. I was so tempted to go halloween with these colors, but took an entirely different route:-) I die cut some fun parcels from the Alexandra Renke Parisian Parcels dies. I also did something I rarely do – added no sentiment to the outside!
I die cut the parcels and backed each one with a contrasting color. I mounted them onto a base that I created using my favorite stencil from The Greetery called Knit Wit. I added some splatters with matching colors and then mounted everything onto a Neenah Solar White card base. The fun scalloped rectangle die is also from Alexandra Renke.

On a personal note:
Well Lou and I are on a cruise from New York to Quebec and back to New York. Our first week was fabulous and the fall colors around Quebec were just gorgeous. However, on Friday I tested positive for Covid. Ugh! I’ve managed to avoid being infected until now. So wasn’t impressed when I felt so miserable on Friday. As this felt different to any flu I’d had before, I asked Lou to go to the chemist to pick up some test kits. Poor guy did over 6 miles (a lot of it uphill) to go buy the first kits. When it came back positive, he had to go back up the hill again and go pick up more kits. Not sure if any of you have been to Quebec, but the old town is incredible hilly and it’s quite a hike up from the cruise terminal to the top of the old town!
So, for the second week of our cruise, I am confined to the cabin. My excitement for the day is when lunch and dinner are delivered to the cabin! We are hoping that I test negative on Thursday so that I can disembark and get back home. If not, I have to stay on board and the ship’s next port of call is England! We are very grateful that Lou is still testing negative and really hope that it stays that way. As for me… this as been a lesson in just letting go. I hate missing out on all the activities on board and will miss our visit to the Kennedy Library and Museum. However, I am grateful that I was quadruple vaccinated – this COVID lark is no joke.
I’ll be back on Friday with my Festive Friday card. In the meantime, stay well and warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

You’re right…LeAnne if fabulous! And your card is fabulous too! Great take on these colors! That Knit Wit stencil is awesome and with your ink splatters it’s just all so cute and whimsy…which I love! I am so sorry you got sick on your cruise! Take care and I’m praying you’re able to disembark on time!

First off your card is awesome. I love that you went a different route then Halloween and it worked so great with those adorable packages and the fun stencil. Love the splatters as well.
So sorry to hear you came down with Covid. I had it once and it was pretty mild for me. Hoping not to get it again though as you never know how bad it will be. Wishing you a speedy recovery and a safe journey back home.

Jaydee, this card is fabulous – I can’t say enough good things about it! I love everything about it! So sorry to hear about the COVID. One of my best friends went on a cruise last month to Alaska and came back with COVID and spent 10 days stuck in a hotel room in Seattle until she could get back home to California. Hope you’re feeling better now.

Love those colourful parcels with their whimsical bows! The splatter and stencilling really add interest too. A fabulous card – shame the same can’t be said about the Covid diagnosis – that is bad luck! Hope this means you will at least be good for your epic trip later on, fingers crossed. Obviously if you do end up in England, call me!!
