Reach for the Stars card ideas day 5

Happy Monday.

I have another quick post for you today featuring the Reach for the Stars stamp and die set from Stampin’ Up! as well as the Stargazing suite.  As promised, over the next few days I will be sharing the last of the 10 cards that I made using this set.  For today’s card, I went (farily) clean and simple and used only a couple of pieces of the Stargazing DSP.

The first thing I started with is the background stamp “It’s in the Stars”.  I went with a white card base (although I was tempted to go with a dark one!)  I stamped the background stamp with Versarmark and heat set some silver embossing powder.

Next thing I did was die-cut two of the planets from the Stargazing DSP and finally die-cut the rings around the larger planet using the dies that come with the Reach for the Stars die set.  I used the speciality DSP to cut the rings of the planet – I love the holographic and reflective qualities of this Holographic Trio paper.

I stamped the astronaut with black ink and die-cut him/her.  I poppoed the planets up with foam dots and then floated the astronaut in front of them.  All that was left to do was add a sentiment and some die-cut stars.

Here’s my card:

I hope you are enjoying this deep dive on this fabulous set.  I’ll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
