Happy Thursday.
It’s my honor to be guest designing across at Time Out this week for their 300th challenge. The challenge was the perfect opportunity to bring out a Pinkfresh Studio set called Lantern Botanicals.
Here’s a sneak peek:

And here is the challenge badge:

What a great theme! I decided to go with Diwali. Before I retired, I had many members of my team who celebrated Diwali each year, so this is honor of them 🙂
I stamped and heat set the image with gold embossing powder and used the matching stencils to color the image. I then die-cut the image and mounted it onto an Indigo focal layer die-cut with the Textured Notes dies from Stampin’ Up! I stamped and heat set the sentiment with gold embossing powder and did the same for the light behind my lantern.
Here’s my card:

As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you, so I hope you will visit the blog and check out their cards. We would also love it if YOU played along and shared your favorite autumn celebration with us. We would love to see what YOU create.
Our challenge this week is being sponsored by Doodlebugs and there is a $25.00 gift certificate for our challenge winner. You can check out the Doodlebugs page here:

I’ll be back tomorrow with my Festive Friday card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Jaydee, this is such a wonderful card of celebration of Divali that signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Goodness knows we desperately need all of this right now. The stamped images are so elegant and beautifully colored, and the dark blue background is such a perfect stage for the lantern. The two frame panels coordinate beautifully. It is a stunning creation with so much depth of meaning. Thank you so very much for joining as Guest Designer for this challenge. Wishing you love and light.
Beautiful frames for the lantern and florals Jaydee! The gold detail is gorgeous and the whole card is just gorgeous! Thanks for being our guest!
This is such a Gorgeous card, Jaydee!!! LOve it so much. Thank you for being our guest. Hugsxx Deepti
Gorgeous Jaydee – the navy background and those wonderful rectangle dies add such a touch of class to this card (and that border mirrors the patten on the lantern too)! Such a brilliant example of light triumphing over darkness! Thanks for being such an awesome guest this fortnight! Hugs, Kate!
The texture and layers of Indigo are so dramatic, Jaydee, and give a wonderful place to add the lantern and leaves. Thanks for being our guest for our 300th challenge.
It’s simply beautiful! My cousin is married to an Indian, so I’ve often feasted on Indian food, but have never been fortunate to attend a Diwali festival. Blessings!
