Happy Wednesday.
Quick post for you today. Here’s card number 8 I made with the Stampin’ Up! Earthen Textures set.
This card was meant to highlight the DSP and I went with the grey colors for this card. As the paper has so much pattern, I wanted to make sure that the focal point was clean and simple. A Pebbled Path front, simple white sentment and a couple of leaves die-cut from a related piece of DSP. I added a white mat below the Pebbled Path to create an additional barrier between the busy DSP and the front panel. I wanted to try to echo the pattern on the DSP with the specific die-cut leaves.
Here’s my full card:
Well, I only have two more cards to show you. I’ll be back tomorrow with the penultimate card 🙂 In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Hey, Jaydee! I came to your blog to comment on the PP color challenge card, but couldn’t scroll past this wonderfully textural card without commenting! This is way up my CAS ally. I love the smooth/textured contrast!
Thanks, Fran. I really did love this paper but felt it needed some blank space to stop it feeling quite so busy!
