Happy Monday.
I hope you all had a great weekend. I have a quick card for you today that I made using one of my favorite sets from The Greetery called Warm and Wonderful. I don’t get the opportunity to use this set too often, but the mood board at Just Us Girls was perfect for it. Oh, and for a new embossing folder I got from Spellbinders called Patchwork.
Here’s a sneak peek:

Oh, I have to say that I just love all that texture from the Patchwork embossing folder – and I love that it really is a patchwork of patterns and textures!
Here’s the wonderful mood board from the talented team at Just Us Girls:

So, how many of these items did I manage to check off? Coffee, leaves, sweaters (patchwork embossing folder, and, even a little pumpkin ‘cos I was trying to emulate a pumpkin spice latte. Mind you, I have to admit, I’ve never had one!!!
For my card I used a gorgeous color of brown/grey cardstock from The Stamp Market and partially embossed that with the embossing folder. For my sentiment I went with a WOW embossing powder which is actually a shade of glittering, glimmering, orange, but it didn’t show up that well on the cardstock. It’s lovely in real life, but the lighting today just couldn’t quite pick up all the glittering pieces. It’s one of those rare days where it’s very overcast and looks as though it is about to rain. Not the best weather to capture photos 🙂
I stamped the elements onto Soft Stone cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I’ve been hoarding this stuff for years as it is one of my favorite soft greys. It’s very similar to Spellbinders Fog, but just everso slightly softer. I inked up and stamped all the elements and then die-cut them with the matching die.
I doubled up the coffee mug with an extra die-cut and then arranged all the elements around the coffee mug. I adhered it directly to the card base.
Here’s my card:

I think you can see the mood board elements? Here’s a closeup of the embossing powder, sorry it’s out of focus!

I know the team across at JUGS would love it if you played along with their challenge and you have a couple of days left to do just that 🙂
I’m hoping to get back into my craft room tomorrow and play along with a couple more challenges. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:

Wow! very cleverly layed out Jaydee. So realistic. Thanks for adding this beauty to our JUGS Gallery.
Jaydee, I’m smitten with your mood board inspired card, where you’ve captured a variety of elements/images, made them your ‘own’ and displayed them in a most eye-catching fashion. The autumn vibe comes through loud and clear with all your selections. Delighted you shared this in the Just Us Girls gallery; thank you!
