Happy Monday.
I hope you all had a wonderful fall weekend. I got to play in my craft room this morning and made 3 cards for 3 different challenges. Today’s card is for the current Just Us Girls challenge where we have to feature stencils. I knew I had to break out my Postal Collage stencils from Waffle Flower and decided it was time to ink up the Snowman stencil!

Oh, I love these little snowmen! Mind you, I have to admit, I am rather smitten with the Textured Notes dies from SU, too!
Oh, and here’s the challenge badge from JUGS:
I began by inking up the stencil with some pale blue ink to create the background. A little spot of orange and grey finished up the other elements.
I die-cut the images with the Postal Collage die and then separated the individual stamps and took out the three that I wanted to use.
I wanted some texture in the background, so pulled out my linen cardstock from Ellen Hutson and added a soft blending of blue from the top and fading out closer to the middle and bottom.
I stamped the sentiment and I then die-cut that layer using the largest of the Stampin’ Up! Textured Notes dies and adhered that to the card base with a couple of layers of cardstock.
The individual stamps were popped up with foam tape and I added some black rhinestones for the buttons on the snowmen.

I love this bold sentiment and thought it perfectly fit with the whimsical feel of the card 🙂 I am so glad I rediscovered this linen cardstock. I absolutely love the texture it gives and think I am going to have to go and hunt some more down!
