Happy Monday.
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
I have a quick card for you today that I made using the sketch across at Sunday Stamps. I don’t often do landscape cards so was excited to do something different. I also liked that the sketch focal element was “any shape”. It was the “any shape” that inspired me to ink up a new mini set that I got from Altenew called Enjoy the Flight.
Here’s a sneak peek:

And here’s the sketch from Sunday Stamps:

I began with the background. I used an embossing folder from Altenew called Sweet Harvest. I just love the texture that it delivers.
I needed an element to break up the lower third of the card base, so used two of my border dies from Spellbinders – they are part of the Winter Borders set.
I embossed the lower third with both of these border dies and then stamped the globe image from the Enjoy the Flight stamp set. I die-cut it using my infinite circle dies, and die-cut a navy piece to mat it to.
I die-cut the plane using white, fog, red and navy cardstock and adhered the pieces together.
I popped up the plane using some foam tape and added the sentiment.
Here’s mu full card:

Such a fun image. As travel has always been a major part of my life, this set has special meaning for me! Mind you, sitting on a plane for hours on end doesn’t have quite the same appeal as it did when I was younger. I still love travelling, but air travel, standing in line for hours, sitting in a small confined space with bad food…. mmmm… I’d rather cruise any day :-).
I’ll be back later in the week with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:
- Stamps and dies: Enjoy the Flight – Altenew
- Background embossing folder: Sweet Harvest – Altenew
- Dies: Winter Borders – Spellbinders
