The Greetery Cozy Cup for Just Us Girls Challenge #802

Happy Friday – again!

I saw the great inspo photo across at Just Us Girls challenge this week and immediately knew what set I was going to us. I remember when I first saw this set a few years ago. Someone (and I’m sorry but I cannot remember who) had posted a card using this set to the Paper Players challenge. I went to comment on the card and was floored by how fabulous the image was! I’d never heard of The Greetery, so had to go off, check them out, and buy the set! The set is called Cozy Cup and I thought it worked perfectly for the challenge.

Here’s a sneak peek:

Oh, I just love this set. It’s one that will be in my craft stash forever!

Here’s the fabulous inspiration photo from JUGS:

I just love this beautifully staged photo. It really puts me in the holiday spirit!

I began my card with the focal point. I stamped and die-cut all the elements for the coffee cup, spoon and place mat. I used a Spellbinders die set called Christmas cracker to create the foliage.

I then created the background using a very old Tim Holtz woodgrain die stencil. I wanted to re-create the feel of the background from the INSPO photo, but didn’t want to add too much texture. So, the stencil with grey on grey seemed like the best approach.

I added the die-cut elements to the card base and then knew that I had to use some embellishments. I mean, who could resist all those shiny things on the inspo photograph! I added 3 sparkly enamel dots and 3 stars to represent the baubles and stars from the photo.

Here’s my full card:

Now, tell me you don’t love that coffee cup! Oh, and it’s currently on sale at The Greetery! Betsy is having her annual Thankful for you sale.

I know the fabulously talented team at JUGS would love you to play along. I’ll be back tomorrow with my Addicted to CAS card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Card recipe:

  • Stamps, dies: Cozy Cup – The Greetery
  • Dies: Foliage from the Christmas Cracker set from Spellbinders
  • Cardstock: Fog – Spellbinders
  • Stencil: Woodgrain – Tim Holtz

Hugs

  1. This is one of my favorite older stamp/die sets by The Greetery and you have made such a pretty card using it. That coaster die is very versatile too! Your white wood-look background looks great behind the red and green elements. Thank you so much for playing along at Just Us Girls this week with our holiday moodboard!

  2. Jaydee… great card! and yes, I do love that coffee cup… thanks for reminding me of the sale. Although I might not be making cards right now, I am still buying stuff, hoping to play in the craft room next week and get a head start on 2026 for JUGS. Finals are on December 7th… and I’m praying they don’t load us down with reading over Christmas. I am loving school, but some days I miss being a retired cardmaker! Hope all is going well for you and the team. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
