Happy Thursday and Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you had a wonderful day filled with love, laughter and the things that make you happy. Before I get to my card, I’d like to say how thankful I am to those of you who visit my blog regularly. Without your support and encouragement this blog would not exist. So, I am truly thankful for all of you.
When I saw the sketch across at Freshly Made I knew exactly what I was going to use to make my card. I brought out a set that I got on sale last year from Spellbinders and it is part of their Dancin’ collection. This specific set is called Dancin’ & Gifting Mouse and I used it to make a Christmas card.

I paired the dies with some fabulous DSP from Stampin’ Up! called Wrapped in Plaid. For some reason, and I have absolutely no idea why, I am on a green theme for Christmas this year. Not only in my card making, but also in my decor choices!
Here’s the sketch from the very talented Cecile
I began my card by die-cutting all the elements for the gift and the mouse. I die cut the body parts with Spellbinders Fog cardstock and then cut his outfit and the present from Wrapped in Plaid DSP. The bow was cut from a leftover piece of gold metallic cardstock.
I assembled the mouse and the gift and then popped them up on the card base. The great thing about the mouse, and it’s something you can’t really see here, is that the legs move backwards and forwards to make him “dance”!
The sentiment is from the Dancin’ Christmas Sentiments set from Spellbinders that works with all the Christmas Dancin’ characters.

Isn’t he just so dapper in his polka dot outfit? I have been hoarding this particular SU DSP for years and managed to find another set of it on ebay a few months ago so that I could top up my stash!

Not only is he adorable, but he’s generous too! I do love the DSP, it’s a great set and easy to see why it’s hoarded. I love him to bits and hope he gets everything he asks for this Christmas.
